The master of proving a point, by putting youngsters on the bench, was Jose Mourinho. But today, Antonio Conte has outdone him. I watch a lot of Chelsea youth team football and I wouldn't have predicted that bench.

Maybe the best information I can give you is that I am looking at both substitutes' benches and Burnley's is much, much stronger!

    Southampton v Swansea (15:00 BST)

Southampton captain Virgil van Dijk, who handed in a transfer request earlier this month, misses out with what boss Mauricio Pellegrino called "a virus".

Summer signings Mario Lemina and Jan Bednarek are both on the bench in Pellegrino's first competitive game in charge since replacing Claude Puel.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been left out of the Swansea squad amid transfer interest from Everton.

With Fernando Llorente out of action after breaking his arm in a cycling accident while on holiday, England Under-21 striker Tammy Abraham, on loan from Chelsea, starts, but Spanish midfielder Roque Mesa, who joined in an £11m move in the summer, is only a substitute.

Swansea: Fabianski, Olsson, Mawson, Fernandez, Naughton, Britton, Fer, Carroll, Routledge, Ayew, Abraham. Subs: Nordfeldt, Narsingh, Rangel, Bartley, Mesa, Fulton, McBurnie.

It is that time of the year again and the most contentious pre-season task of all - picking who will finish where in the Premier League in the 2017-18 campaign.

The big money is spent and will continue to be spent even after the season gets under way this weekend.

So here goes with the crystal ball - and with the usual safety net excuse that these placings could yet be moved around by some more heavy lifting in the transfer markets before the end of August.

Check out my pick for the Premier League champions, as well as where the rest of the teams will finish, here.

And don't worry. The leagues start again with everyone on zero points, so whether you were top of the table or bottom of the pile, we all begin with a clean slate.

Forget everything you know from pre-season. Put last year's disappointments/triumphs to the back of your mind.

The Premier League is among us once more.

You'll have probably noticed by now, because it actually returned on Friday night. In hugely entertaining fashion, too.

But there's something different about the Saturday. Football Focus, Sports Report in the car, Match of the Day.

Welcome back everyone, we're just getting started.
