  1. 'Absolutely a red card'published at 15:36 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Everton 0-0 AFC Bournemouth

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Final Score

It's an elbow across Rooney's face in the penalty area so there's no question it's a penalty and a red card because it's dangerous play. Absolutely a red card.

    Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

    This looks nasty.

Wayne Rooney has blood on his face and he is not happy at all. The reason? It looks like he got Simon Francis' elbow right in his eye as the two challenged for the ball inside the Bournemouth box.

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Swansea 0-1 Watford

Watford have the ball in net again, but it has been chalked off, rightly, for offside. André Carrillo may even have been offside on two occasions before he poked home from a rebound. Still, Watford are bossing it. Swansea have been dire.

    Burnley 0-0 Huddersfield

Better from Huddersfield now as they start to show the gegenpressing David Wagner likes to employ. The Terriers are just lacking that bit of bite in the final third, an ongoing issue given they have scored just one goal in their last four games.

GOAL - Stoke City 0-2 Chelseapublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Pedro (30 mins)

Stoke City might as well take the revolver and shoot themselves in the foot. They were playing quite well after going behind, but a Darren Fletcher mistake may just have killed this game. The skipper tries to chest the ball back towards his own goal, but only succeeds in finding Pedro, who pounces and finishes.

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

Leroy Sane will be extra grateful to Pep Guardiola for being handed a start today because Germany boss Joachim Low is watching on at the Etihad Stadium.

Sane hasn't done too much to impress Low yet. In fact, none of the Manchester City players have done much to impress anyone. Instead Ruben Loftus-Cheek who has caught the eye so far as he flashes an effort across goal.

  7. 'No threat for De Gea'published at 15:27 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Southampton 0-1 Manchester United

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on 5 live Sport

At the moment, Southampton have started well enough. They are passing well and controlling possession but there has not been a single threat on David de Gea's goal.

    That must be a concern.

    Southampton 0-1 Manchester United

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is pulling the strings at St Mary's. Give and go, run at the defence. Foul, United free-kick just outside the box. Marcus Rashford tries his luck, a little poke with the right foot, just over the wall but wide of the post.

  9. 'A deserved lead'published at 15:24 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Swansea 0-1 Watford

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    BBC Radio 5 live

Watford have been very impressive again so far today.

They were drubbed 6-0 last week but aside from that they had a good start to the season and they thoroughly deserve their lead at the Liberty Stadium.

Etienne Capoue has been everywhere in the early stages in the absence of Nathaniel Chalobah and Andre Gray ruthlessly took his chance when Sam Clucas diverted Andre Carillo's cross into his path.

Wilfried Bony hasn't had a look-in for Swansea yet and they've struggled to get going.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:24 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Huddersfield

Finally, a chance at Turf Moor.

Chris Wood, who has scored three goals in his last four games for Burnley, rises to meet a cross but nods just wide of the far post.

The striker holds his head in frustration. He knows that should have at least been on target.

    Stoke City 0-1 Chelsea

Stoke have recovered pretty well from going behind so early on. In fact, they seem to be having most of the play. Willian body-checks Bruno Martins Indi, sending the big man to the ground. Not easy to do. Most of the play is in the Chelsea half.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

    What a chance!

Crystal Palace go mighty close to snatching the lead but the woodwork denies them their first Premier League goal of the season.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek drives an effort goalwards and it beats Ederson in the Manchester City goal but smashes back off the post.

    Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

There's not much to shout about over at Goodison Park. Everton are dominating possession but not giving Bournemouth too much to worry about yet. That early Dominic Calvert-Lewin header the only chance of note so far.

  14. 'Lukaku is a beast'published at 15:21 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Southampton 0-1 Manchester United

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on 5 live Sport

The second meaningful contribution Ashley Young has had in the game. When the ball is put in the middle, he has Romelu Lukaku to aim for and Marouane Fellaini.

It's just too much power for Southampton to deal with.

Lukaku is a goalscorer. He just totally comes alive and is a beast in that area. Did you think there would be any other outcome? I didn't.

    Romelu Lukaku (20 mins)

That man again! Goals in six consecutive Premier League games for Romelu Lukaku. Manchester United lead as the Belgian tucks home at the second attempt. A leap to meet Ashley Young's teasing cross, the header brilliantly saved by Fraser Forster. Forster, though, can do nothing when the rebound falls to Lukaku, who finishes into an empty net.

  16. Will it start raining goals at the Etihad?published at 15:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

The sun was out at the Etihad Stadium earlier but the dark Mancunian skies currently look as menacing as the Manchester City attack has been this season. A downpour is going to come any minute, I think.

On the pitch, City are looking more and more dangerous, but it has not started raining goals yet either. Palace are well organised at the back, and are breaking forward well too, so it is far from one-way traffic.

    Burnley 0-0 Huddersfield

Chris Wood loves a goal against Huddersfield. The Burnley striker has bagged eight goals for four different clubs against the Terriers but he's not yet had a chance in this game. No-one has in fact.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:15 British Summer Time 23 September 2017

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

No surprises that the hosts are dominating this game and they should really be ahead as Palace fail to clear a ball into the box, Fernandinho pounces but hits his effort straight at the keeper from eight yards.

    Andre Gray (13 mins)

Shambolic in the Swansea defence. A bit like a normal day at the Football Association. There's some nice Watford work down the right, but when the cross comes in it bounces off two Swansea players, who are both on the ground. Andre Gray picks up the pieces and slots Watford ahead.
