There’s a huge banner that has just been unveiled in the Gallowgate End and it’s basically to Rafa Benitez based on a similar one used at Valencia

“We follow you everywhere, we’ll always have your back. For all their lies we will never doubt you, we are with you.”

Chelsea for life 99: Quite embarrassing considering Everton spent so much over the summer, to be almost in the relegation zone

James Stringer: I am a neutral, but even I am concerned for Everton! No creativity, very predictable and very poor not to replace Lukaku!

So how does current Reds boss Jurgen Klopp's record after 74 games compare to Benitez?

The German has collected 135 points - just one more than Benitez at the same stage.

Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Rafael Benitez.

Liverpool legends until the end of time.

These three managers brought a total of five European Cups to the Anfield side, but now in-charge of Newcastle, Benitez will be plotting his former side's downfall this afternoon.

There wasn't enough intelligence from Everton. Some of their players are surrounding the referee claiming they should have had a penalty. It certainly wasn't deliberate hand ball.

That is not the problem with Everton.

They didn't play well. They had lots of the ball but didn't look like creating a chance in the second half.

All through the team it looks like a mid-table team, in fact it doesn't look that good!

They are not good enough, they are a long way off. They haven't replaced Lukaku. I know that's a big ask but they haven't got the bodies in they needed to.

The obvious questions will be asked of Ronald Koeman.
