The momentum Everton have had has disappeared.

That is well done to Burnley and Sean Dyche.

I for one am willing to suffer these results if it means the team have the chance to improve long term. Success takes time and too often Premier League teams and fans are obsessed with short term success which is ultimately limiting for creativity.

Sean Dyche sends on Ashley Barnes for Jeff Hendrick as referee Jon Moss has a word with Ronald Koeman, who looks incensed. Handball?

The hand was up but there is no way it is deliberate.

It would have been very harsh.

Wayne Rooney is the latest man in blue to be jeered as a hopeful shot from range skies over the top. Getting to last orders at the last chance saloon time for Everton. They've had one shot on target in the second half.

One of the problems for Everton is for all the possession in the second half they have had, can you think of any chances?

Supersub last week, not the case today. Oumar Niasse is off and Sandro comes on.

Everton cannot get anything going at all. Oumar Niasse is stripped of the ball this time and Burnley come away with it. Into the last 10 minutes.

The Clarets have only kept one clean sheet in their last 32 league matches against the Toffees, a 1-0 win in August 2009. Is this number two?

More groans as Cuco Martina is forced back towards his own goal on halfway. Burnley may not be a team of stars, but they are a team. They work so hard in and out of possession.

It is much better now. Sean Dyche is a bit more concerned because Everton are asking different questions.

Why did it take so long to make these changes?

We can all surely agree that that is a cracking look from Mike Walker.

Tom Davies has a slaloming run before Wayne Rooney's fine deep cross is pushed clear by Nick Pope. Signs of life?

I have been watching the Toffees since 1972 and Koeman is the second most clueless manager in the history of the club after Mike Walker.

It is absolutely stationary ahead of the Everton midfield. I am stunned.

If you are a striker it doesn't matter if you get the ball or not you have to work your socks off. You have to create space for your partner or other players to run into the space you vacate. You have to do horrible miles for others.

At the moment it is stationary and it is painful to watch these Everton players.

Into the last 20 minutes then. Everton are showing very little in the way of goal threat as Burnley win a free-kick down by the corner flag. A chance to relieve some pressure.

Marginally better from Everton as they work a cross in from Cuco Martina, headed wide by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Tom Davies is the next change for Everton, he's on for Nikola Vlasic.

Burnley are comfortable. They are not taking any chances. After the change Everton are lining up with a classic diamond.

It is asking a lot of Idrissa Gueye,
