There are a few EFL deals coming through now.
Colchester have signed Charlton forward Brandon Hanlan on loan while Exeter City have paid a club-record fee to bring Jayden Stockley in from Aberdeen.
Meanwhile, Portsmouth have signed Oliver Hawkins from Dagenham & Redbridge on a three-year deal.
Peterborough chairman/owner Darragh MacAnthony, who is a Liverpool fan:
I’m surprised that Liverpool have spent £35m on a player who averages 17 starts a year and in a position we aren’t weak in. All Reds supporters know that Liverpool need a strong centre-back, or even two. I am rather surprised that few clubs up top end of Championship in terms of size/wealth haven’t done more business and shocked that Newcastle apparently want to sell Dwight Gayle already.
If the rumours are true and Fulham get him, they have serious chance of automatic promotion. I'm also a bit shocked at the foreign route Brighton have gone down with the majority of their transfer business this summer and hope it doesn’t back-fire and see them relegated as a wonderful club and top owner.
In terms of transfers on deadline day, a deal can be done quickly if deal sheets are put in on time by all clubs involved and have a subject to medical which gives bit leeway if running behind. So effectively, a deal can be done in the last hour of the window and I’m sure many have happened that way.
We have had two verbal bids for a young player today and both have been dismissed as he’s just back from injury and part of our plans squad wise and worth lot more to us here then what was bid from the two Championship clubs. And we have had a couple of low ball offers (what I call low ball) on other players. As of right now (with 11 hours to go) our squad will wake up tomorrow the same as how they woke up today; complete!
Liverpool have confirmed that Divock Origi has joined Wolfsburg on a season-long loan.
Origi has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances since arriving from Lille two years ago but didn't even make the bench against Arsenal at the weekend.
West Ham United
David Blackmore, editor of West Ham fanzine Blowing Bubbles:
Before the first ball was kicked in anger, I felt the arrivals of Marko Arnautovic, Chicharito, Joe Hart, and Pablo Zabaleta were incredibly encouraging and I felt quietly confident of having a good season.
But after losing all our league games in August, I have been left scratching my head as to what else we need to be more competitive in the Premier League.
Whilst we've had a few top signings come in, I had mixed feelings about some of the players we let go, many of whom were good squad players but the money paid for them can only be seen as good business.
With everyone fit, I believe our squad is good enough to battle in the "Best of the Rest" mini-league for clubs outside the top six so I don't think we urgently need
But I would welcome a signing like William Carvalho with open arms. Whether or not we get him remains to be seen - I'm not convinced he would see a move to West Ham as progress in his career.

For a few weeks it seemed West Ham were going to spend big money on Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic was keen and a bid of around £30m was made.
That was rejected but it was felt West Ham would be back.
However, they opted not to maintain their interest and the deal is now dead.
Burnley
Nahki Wells, who scored 10 goals for Huddersfield as they were promoted to the Premier League last season, says he is "here to grow" after joining Burnley.
“It’s a group I’m sure I can come in and blend with really quickly and it’s about trying to get out on that pitch as soon as possible and hit the ground running," he says.
“I’m here to grow. It’s a step up for me and it’s one that I’m relishing.
“I don’t see why I can’t learn of the strikers here and hopefully find a combination with the attacking options and play my part in helping move this club forward.”

Some movement on Kylian Mbappe? According to RMC Sport in France the 18-year-old may now join PSG from Monaco on a permanent deal, not on loan with an obligation to buy as was previously thought. They're talking figures of 145 million Euros plus a 35 million Euros bonus. Question is, how will they then be able to comply with financial fair play regulations? Serge Aurier has already exited PSG, look out for more departures.
Burnley
Striker Nahki Wells has completed a permanent transfer from Huddersfield to Premier League rivals Burnley for a reported £5m., external
Middlesbrough have completed the signing of the Oxford United winger Marvin Johnson for an undisclosed fee.
He's signed a three-year contract.
You guys never let us down...
A few minutes ago we questioned whether a Haiti international had ever played in League One before, after Oldham signed goalkeeper Johny Placide.
You've provided us with the answer on #bbcfootball:
Michael Fred Ryan: Lescinel Jean-Francois was a Haitian international who played for Sheffield United in League One a few years ago.
Jonathan Wilson: Lescinel Jean-Francois of Sheffield United and Haiti. Sadly succumbed to injury. Handy left back.
John Rickards: Haiti internationals in L1 - Duckens Nazon, currently at Coventry on loan from Wolves. So yes.
Remarkable knowledge!

Swansea City have paid around £4million to loan Renato Sanches for the rest of the season and have also taken on a big chunk of the Bayern Munich midfielders wages.
My understanding is that the total package will set Swans back around £6.5million for the season and both Bayern and the player picked Swansea over several other potential suitors.
Juventus and Benfica made offers to Bayern but it was in Sanches’ interest to go to a club where he knew he’d play, particularly with the World Cup in mind.
Paul Clement also played a big part in the decision due to his previous connection with Carlo Ancelotti and Bayern.
Oldham Athletic have signed Haiti international Johny Placide. The 29-year-old goalkeeper has agreed a two year contract.
Have we ever had a Haiti international in League One before?!

Stoke City
Stoke City midfielder Giannelli Imbula, the club's record signing when he joined for £18.3m in February 2016, has joined French Ligue 1 side Toulouse on loan until the end of the season.

The deal to bring Stephano Denswil from Club Bruges to Brighton is off due to an injury to another defender at the Belgian club. The news may have an impact on a Connor Goldson's possible loan move Ipswich.
Meanwhile an initial agreement has been reached between the Seagulls and Newcastle over a season-long deal for Magpies’ goalkeeper Tim Krull. Defender Esequil Schelotto is still on course to make a permanent switch from Sporting Lisbon.
Swansea City
Jim White, owner of Swansea City fans' site www.scfc2.co.uk:
If you surveyed 100 Swansea fans, I think 85% of them would say the club needs two or three new additions to ensure we don’t have another tough season!
The Sigurdsson saga took far too long to get resolved and left the club needing to make improvements in the forward areas as Gylfi was responsible for a lot of our goals as many pundits tell us! He was a great player for us but finding that ‘hidden gem’ is difficult and we don’t have the resources to spend £30m+ on one player.
The club have brought three new players who have all been well received but it's fair to say none of them have made fans go ‘wow’. Roque Mesa was brought in to replace Jack Cork and looks like a good player, but will take time to get used to the pace of the Premier League. Tammy Abraham looks a decent young talent but its asking a lot of a 19-year-old to be your main source of goals throughout a season.
The signing of Sam Clucas is I think an astute buy and his ‘English lower league roots’ fit well at the club but I am not sure we will get 15 goals a season for him.
We need another forward that can take the pressure off Tammy, an attacking midfielder that can create and score goals and I think we need a new winger/wing back to challenge Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson.
Will Renato Sanches do for 'wow' factor, Jim?

West Brom have made three really good signings over the past week.
Grzegorz Krychowiak did not play a lot at PSG last season but he was pivotal to Sevilla's Europa League successes in 2015 and 2016 in the two seasons he spent there after joining from French clubs Reims. He is a key player in a talented Poland side too, so it is a real coup for West Brom to get him on loan. He looks the kind of player you think Arsenal should get in.
Kieran Gibbs joined from the Gunners for £7m, which is really good business, and Oliver Burke could be a real steal too. I loved watching Burke at Nottingham Forest, and it's great that he left for RB Leipzig - I'm sure he will have grown with that experience - but I am glad he is back, and in the Premier League.

One of us (clue: not Gary) may have done a little yelp with excitement when this one came through. It's always been a dream to include Pumbaa from the Lion King in a live text.
