The Watford fans are lapping this up in their corner of the Shed End. As we said at half time it’s not a surprise, Richarlison missed a sitter, Chelsea didn’t learn and Pereyra has so much space to put Watford ahead. Chelsea are all over the place and Richarlison should have added a third.

Watford won’t get a better chance to win here.

    Chelsea 1-2 Watford

Watford are oozing confidence. Chasing every loose ball, winning most of them, knocking passes around the corner... they're doing everything and doing it well.

The Watford express is still hurtling towards the Chelsea goal at 125mph. Troy Deeney has a shot blocked as the home side desperately try to clear their lines.

You say 3-1, it should be 4-1 to Watford. The ease in which they are getting chances from inside the six yard boxes...

The way Chelsea are playing, don't worry Watford! You will get more.

Chelsea look completely and utterly disjointed!

    Chelsea 1-2 Watford

What is going on here? Chelsea are over the place at the back. Watford have another chance, Richarlison heading wide from close range. A head like a 50p piece!

He should have scored, Watford should be almost home and hosed.

Come on then Chelsea, what have you got...

  7. 'Chelsea utter shambles'published at 50 mins

Watford's attitude has been absolutely superb. They were put under pressure but they didn't care.

Chelsea are an utter shambles at the back! To get two opportunities two or three yards out is absolutely unthinkable.

But this is the way Chelsea have been playing!

    Roberto Pereyra

Yes. Yes they will! Chelsea are opened up easier than a can of tuna. Again.

Moments after letting them off the hook, Watford make the champions pay. Richarlison makes up for that earlier miss with a killer pass to Roberto Pereyra, who keeps his cool to drill in low past Thibaut Courtois.

What is very noticeable is that Chelsea have started this second-half at a much greater pace than they have done in any of their last three matches.

I think the boss has had some very strong words at half-time...

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

This is the sort of tempo the home fans want to see. After Troy Deeney mishits a half chance, Chelsea fly forward as Pedro smashes one over the bar.

  12. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

Chelsea race out of the blocks... and instantly cause panic among the Watford defence. A teasing cross from the right is shanked on top of his own goal by Adrian Mariappa, moments before Marcos Alonso's low cross from the opposite side is hacked clear.

Chelsea return to the pitch a few moments before their opponents, presumably with their ears ringing from an Antonio Conte rocket at half-time.

Tip to Premier League defenders: don't let Abdoulaye Doucouré shoot.

The Watford midfielder has scored with all four of his shots on target in the Premier League this season.

I back Marco Silva to take over from Mr Wenger. Watford's energy is immense.

Watford's work rate is phenomenal. Jon Moss is one of the poorest Premier League officials out there. No wonder the players are getting ratty!

  16. 'Frustration among Chelsea fans'published at 13:29 British Summer Time 21 October 2017

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

    John Southall
BBC Radio 5 live football reporter

Well you can't say it's a surprise that Watford are level, Chelsea haven't been that convincing and you can feel a frustration among the fans.

Both goals had a whiff of controversy but it's Watford who'll feel the more aggrieved and I'm sure Marco Silva will have a few things to say afterwards about the opening goal. It was a terrific finish from Pedro but it wasn't a corner.

Here's the statistical evidence Watford have given as good as they have got. The Hornets have shaded possession, while there has been more play in the Chelsea third of the pitch than Watford's.

Chelsea have managed eight shots, forcing Heurelho Gomes into four saves, while Watford have created six efforts themselves.

All in all, 1-1 is about right.

Ekemini Umoinwek: Bakayoko having a mare; Watford showing they are above Chelsea on the league table.

    Chelsea 1-1 Watford

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on Radio 5 live

Chelsea have only got themselves to blame.

They had comfortable possession in midfield and they gave the ball away naively.

Watford have not really attacked a great deal but there hasn't been too much in the game.
