Chelsea are missing a couple of things. Eden Hazard is nowhere near the form he was in last season.

In little short bursts, he looks special but he didn't really have a pre-season and is coming back from that injury.

Alvaro Morata is not looking to go long at the moment either. That stretches the play and helps Chelsea.

He's not done that. It might be because he has had a hamstring injury.

An even game is this - other than the scoreline. A half chance for Alvaro Morata leaves the Spanish striker slapping the turf in frustration as some Blues fans disappear downstairs for a balti pie.

Although we're praising Watford's attitude, they haven't really got round the back of the Chelsea defence yet and have been restricted to pot-shots.

The Blues are playing almost like an away side, sitting relatively deep and then looking to break through Pedro and Eden Hazard quickly.

Talking of pot-shots, Cesc Fabregas forces Heurelho Gomes into a flying save before David Luiz shanks a volley from the corner into the Shed End.

Chelsea had that little 10-15 minute period where they were passing the ball well but they just seemed to come out of it all of a sudden and they need something to give them a spark.

It has allowed Watford to get themselves back into the game and pick things up.

Chelsea are casually trying to play the ball around their back-line, attempting to slow the pace of the game out and take the sting out of the Hornets. Pardon the pun. But the Watford attackers, led by Troy Deeney of course, aren't giving them a moment's peace as they press from the front.

Chelsea have been trying to ping the ball forward quickly, looking for holes in the Watford backline. Tiemoue Bakayoko's pass finds one, however it doesn't find team-mate Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea aren't the Chelsea of last season, that's for sure. Then you wouldn't have given Watford much hope of getting back into the game. Now you're almost certain that they will.

That has been two or three chances now that Watford have got.

They haven't really challenged Thibaut Courtois but they are getting chances and that was another one for Richarlison.

Still Watford come at Chelsea. The Hornets are buzzing around the home players, winning the ball back and moving forward confidently. Richarlison has another pop from distance, straight down the neck of Thibaut Courtios.

Here's a chance for Watford. Tom Cleverly lines up a free-kick on the edge of the Chelsea box. Can he get it up and over the wall? Yes he can... but there is not enough beef on it. Thibaut Courtois gets down to his right to push out to safety.

David Luiz banged in a screamer on Wednesday and he has another pop from a similar position now. However, his side-footed effort is a decent height for Heurello Gomes to parry.

Watford haven't crumbled after that opening goal. They've more than matched Chelsea so far - apart from in the scoring stakes of course. The Hornets try to work an opening from the left flank, but Chelsea have plenty of men back and hold firm.

The Watford players are getting a bit ratty at the referee now. They just need to forget about it.

The referee is starting to react to it because of the amount of moaning he is getting from the Watford players.

Talking of Pedro... the former Barca player has had a hand in more goals in all competitions in 2017 than any other Chelsea player.

Pedro has more confidence than a member of One Direction on a dating app. The Spaniard has another pop from distance, this time his dipping shot just bounding past the left-hand post.

Richarlison is the sort of player that leaves defenders feeling dizzy. Antonio Rudiger is the latest player to get his head in a spin, hacking down the tricky Brazilian near the halfway line to pick a yellow.
