  1. de Bruyne capitalises on the pressurepublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2017

You could just sense Manchester City were probing and asking questions. In the end, they breached Arsenal's defence. Initially, de Bruyne put in an outstanding shot that was saved. Then, after a little one-two, he buried it into the bottom right corner. Cech had no chance with that. The pressure just told.

    Kevin de Bruyne

If at first you don't succeed...

Kevin de Bruyne has a right-footed shot saved by Petr Cech, and 10 seconds later he plays a one-two with Fernandinho and batters a left-footed shot past Cech from the corner of the penalty area.

    Brilliant.

A draw is not a terrible performance or result today for Manchester City as they won't win every single game. But, of course, they will want to keep their run of winning games going.

If I could choose one footballing superpower to have right now it may be Kevin de Bruyne's weight of pass. He threads the ball between not only where the opposition are, but where they will be. Genius stuff.

Arsenal have nine men behind the ball when they lose it.

David Silva with a dreamlike pass over the top to find Sergio Aguero but the move breaks down. City more alert now after a shoddy start.

  7. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

So, so close! City open Arsenal up like a surgeon, Sergio Aguero to Leroy Sane, who breezes past Laurent Koscielny and feeds the ball across the face of goal. It's six inches ahead of Raheem Sterling, who would have had another tap in.

There are half-hearted appeals for a penalty but I don't think Koscielny made any contact on Sane...

When they lose the ball, Arsenal are settling back into a 4-5-1 formation this afternoon. They are putting in a really committed press and going for it. It could be a real tactical battle but Manchester City do have the superior players.

It is fair to say Arsene Wenger has surprised a few Arsenal fans by selecting Francis Conquelin this afternoon.

Not only is it the French midfielder's first Premier League start of the season, it is in the middle of a back three.

He is currently marking Sergio Aguero.

    See how that works out.

  10. CLOSE!published at 11 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

Liek Spurs, are City a bit sluggish after a tough Champions League game in midweek? Fernandinho has started particularly slowly, caught on the ball by Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil ends up shooting wide.

Really good stuff from Arsenal as they move the ball fluidly and quickly. Hector Bellerin gets them up the pitch and John Stones can only chop down Alexis Sachez. He then shoots from 35 yards but he never gets hold of it at all.

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

Very impressive from Arsenal so far. They are zipping the ball about with a nice tempo. If they continue like that, they're going to be a danger this afternoon.

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

Good spell from Arsenal, encouraging for the visitors. They work the ball well to Hector Bellerin on the right and his ball in is well cleared. Arsenal switch it again and Sead Kolasinac has a cross cut out.

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have a free-kick which is headed out to Alex Iwobi in the D, he controls a ball well and then lashes a shot wildly over the top. A few decent chances already.

Arsenal might be playing a back three actually, with Francis Coquelin in the backline.

  15. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 Arsenal

Sergio Aguero could well have put City ahead already. That was a very good chance.

Teams are going to stop attacking corners soon. It's the most likely time you'll concede against some teams.

  16. CLOSE!published at 2 mins

Fernandinho's first pass is sloppy and Arsenal win a corner, but City clear and look to break. Raheem Sterling feeds Kevin de Bruyne, on to Sergio Aguero - wide!

    Good chance that!

  17. 'A professional performance'published at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2017

    Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: "It was a tough game for us after Wednesday. Palace were compact, narrow and playing on the counter attack. We had the possession but not many chances. They were fresh after one week to prepare for the game. We had a few problems after the Madrid game and that's why I'm so happy with the victory. In the end though I'm very pleased with an important three points.

"I'm so happy for the different players who came in, people like Paulo (Gazzaniga) who played fantastically well. He is an unbelievable option to have as a keeper and I'm really happy for him and his family that he performed like that.

"It was always going to be a challenge today but it means a lot to pick up the three points. It's a massive achievement for us to take us into the international break."

  20. 'I can't ask any more of my players'published at 14:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2017

    Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson: "Spurs' goal was a painful blow. We knew they'd dominate possession with the quality they have but we worked hard to restrict them and they didn't have many shots to worry us. We had quite a few moments of our own at the other end so it was a bitter blow to lose 1-0.

"We caused them a good deal of problems: Wilf's chance and others we could have scored. When you don't take your chances, you run the risk of them scoring at the other end and that's what happened.

"I'm pleased with how we went about our business. I can't ask much more of what the players are giving for us. They're not lacking belief but when you're playing Tottenham away, you need a bit of luck and we didn't get it."
