BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

There have been precious few reasons to complain for Manchester City this season and given they have been on such an extended winning run and scored so often, it is only an observation but Pep Guardiola's side have now conceded five times in their last four Premier League games.

They had conceded two in seven prior to the last international break.

Femi: Game on. Thanks to Alexandre Lacazette. Monsieur Wenger, that’s why you should have played your £50m striker!

Jake: That's why you start Lacazette. Cannot fathom why you would leave that level of quality on the bench!

Brilliant save from Cech. The ball landed at Jesus' feet and Cech got across extremely well to keep it out. I'd have liked to see Jesus lift it a bit there.

Should score! A corner is flicked on by David Silva, Gabriel Jesus is only about four yards out but his shot is smashed at Petr Cech, who pushes it away!

Laurent Koscielny dives in on Kevin de Bruyne and is booked, De Bruyne livid with that tackle. Into the last quarter of the game and the home crowd start to get a big tetchy themselves.

Raheem Sterling's cross is a good one and Leroy Sane lashes a shot into the back of Hector Bellerin.

Good interlink play from Arsenal to go from back to front quickly. Aaron Ramsey was involved to catch Fabian Delph out of position and Lacazette has finished it well. Game on!

Alexandre Lacazette comes off the bench to drag Arsenal back into this game. A good goal too, Alex Iwobi into Aaron Ramsey, he picks out Lacazette on the blind side of Nicolas Otamendi, one touch to steady and one to smash through Ederson's legs.

Samson: Michael Oliver with those two decisions has spoilt this game.

Where is Clattenburg when you need him?

Joe: Never ever a penalty. Disappointed with the ref and particularly Sterling there.

Paul: I'd bet that always having Michael Oliver as ref is top of Pep's Christmas wish list - what a ridiculously soft penalty.

You have to give credit to the manager for how he has improved players. Sterling is scoring goals, Delph has come in and done really well, Stones seems to have cut out the individual errors and Otamendi has been one of the outstanding defenders in the league this season.

    Man City 2-0 Arsenal

Arsene Wenger started complaining as soon as the penalty was awarded and remained with the nearside assistant and fourth official Andre Marriner until after Sergio Aguero scored.

He alternated who he was talking to but he seemed to be pointing at the middle of the field, either where a decision had gone against his team, or where a similar incident to the one that left Raheem Sterling sprawling had gone unpunished.

Arukaino: 2-0. Football 2.0. Wenger and his team look lost in Pep's land of beautiful attacking football.

Sam: Ooh Aguero's penalty was lucky to go in, it just hit the post in the right bit. But could have been a disastrous miss.

Joe: Cech used to be an incredible goalkeeper, but now he’s just a good one. The Arsenal cushy complacency curse strikes again?
