Watford are almost unrecognisable from last season. They can really play.

A win tonight would send them above Liverpool...

When you watch Marco Silva's teams play - even Hull City at the end of last season - it's so obvious they've been well-drilled. They move forward together and back together, and there's a real rhythm to the team, and it works, and it's working for them. Also with Watford their fitness stands out - he's obviously got a good sports science team working with him - and against Newcastle they just looked too fit and too strong for them, and in the last 20 minutes Watford just overran them.

Jack: Great to see Lamela on the bench. Welcome back Erik, but I'm terrified to see Sissoko starting.

David Ljunggren: Good on Rafa - not afraid to ring the changes after the Watford disaster. Perhaps some of the overpaid under-performing stars will learn something on the bench.

The last time that Erik Lamela turned out for Tottenham Hillary Clinton seemed the likeliest next president of the United States.

The Argentine has had surgery on both hips since that 2-1 League Cup defeat by Liverpool on 25 October 2016.

The 25-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of this season, is back on the bench tonight.

"He’s hyperactive and that’s how he is on the pitch," said Pochettino earlier this week. , external

"He loves to run, loves to feel the ball at his feet. He always wants the ball.

“I think we miss him because he’s completely different to the options that we have in front."

Watford have lost 12 of their last 13 games against Manchester United in all competitions, winning the other in the Premier League in this exact fixture last season (3-1).

The last Watford goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet against Manchester United in a competitive fixture was Tony Coton; in a 1-0 win back in September 1986 at Vicarage Road.

Spurs went goal mad in Leicester back in May - Harry Kane scored four in a 6-1 win.

They were particularly brilliant that night, with some idiot - me - moved to write:

There is no doubt Spurs have the quality to be champions. If they can repeat their home form while on 'holiday' at Wembley, perhaps the wait for a league title will end after 57 years.

Well, Spurs haven't really found their best form at Wembley after all have they? They kick off tonight 13 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City, and 14 points clear of the relegation zone.

That title wait may have to go on a bit longer yet.

This is a game both sides need to win. West Brom haven't tasted victory in 11 games and Newcastle have lost four in a row - the bottom three have moved precariously closer.

As the appointment of a new manager looms, caretaker boss Gary Megson will again seek to enhance his own reputation.

Having not managed for five years, he's realistic about his own chances but the response he received from his players at the weekend bodes well for his own future in the game, whether it's at The Hawthorns or not.

While the hosts have registered just six goals in six home games so far, Newcastle have netted just four times in their six away games - there's a very good chance that the opening goal may prove to be the winning goal.

For many observers, forthcoming games away to Arsenal and against Manchester City at home will provide the acid test of Manchester United's title challenge - but it's vital Jose Mourinho's side don't take this trip to Vicarage Road lightly.

I saw Watford rip apart an admittedly poor Newcastle side on Saturday. They boast an energy and athleticism that is exciting to watch.

United have been poor on their travels, losing their last two and mustering a paltry two goals in four away games. In contrast under Marco Silva, Watford are free-scoring.

You sense the young Portuguese will particularly relish this latest test of his tactical acumen. Mourinho and United must be ready.

Tonight Manchester United must win the game by hook or by crook. Jose Mourinho won't care how they win, he's a pragmatist, we know that. It looks like a well-balanced team tonight, and they've been on fire at home, but not so great away for some reason - but tonight is a must win for them.

Leicester make two changes from the team that drew with West Ham last time out. Ben Chilwell replaces Christian Fuchs, who is absent due to the birth of his daughter, at left-back while Shinji Okazaki replaces Demarai Gray up front. Gray drops to the bench alongside Islam Slimani.

    Tottenham team to face Leicester

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino shakes up his Spurs line-up after the weekend's draw at West Brom with Danny Rose making a return at left-back. The 27-year-old, who has been linked with a move away, said earlier this month that he was 'fuming' after being left out of the north London derby.

Ben Davies makes way for Rose while Serge Aurier replaces Kieran Trippier on the opposite flank. Elsewhere Mousa Dembele comes in for Harry Winks in midfield partnering Moussa Sissoko.

Some football rivalries just are odd...

It seems even some of the supporters struggle to understand why Brighton and Palace resent each other - even if they find themselves sucked into it.

"To me personally, I still find it a bit odd," Albert Kerly, a Crystal Palace fan told BBC Newsbeat. "I'm 33, so didn't witness the rivalry develop first-hand.

"But the moment you become old enough to appreciate the word rivalry, as a Palace fan you instantly project it on to Brighton. It's the rules."
