Regular Jon. Is that the same City that beat Watford 6-0 away and didn’t lose at Huddersfield?

    Dave

Late goals breed confidence and positivity, confidence and positivity breed late goals. Like United under Fergie, and the invincibles under Wenger, this City team always believe they can find a winner and more than often than not they will. Brilliant team.

    Alex, cardiff, United fan.

Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was difficult, teams seem to come here and get every man behind the ball, not interested in anything but parking the bus.

"But we have players like David Silva in the team, so we knew if we kept going we'd get our chances. We knew we had to be patient, we came out flying in the second half, we tried to explain to the boys we still had time and then we started to relax a bit more and found those spaces. We want to win the derby but we are taking it each game at a time."

Jake: Dear Pep, please drop some points again this season, just for fun, we know you will win anyway but still I need to see some competition in the said to be "most competitive league of the top leagues" Yours Faithfully, Jake

Bobby: If you had offered me a 2-1 loss to Man City at the start of the game, I would have taken it. Shame we couldn't nick a point at the end.

Louis Preece: Regarding the talk of Hummels, I think he'd improve most sides in world football. As a United fan, can only hope he doesn't go to City as he'd be the final piece of the puzzle

David Silva says City's players train for teams to play like that against them. You'd hope so to be honest.

How will Manchester United line up against them next week?

I thought it was an outstanding game. West Ham were disciplined in the first half. City have got outstanding individual talent and a great team spirit. Another win. You know it's coming. West Ham's players gave everything today but Manchester City kept going. They are unbelievable, they just believe they're going to score goals.

City win a 13th game in a row and return to an eight-point cushion at the top of the lead.

Plenty for David Moyes to enjoy from his side though. Is that gritty showing a launchpad?

Vincent Kompany dashed to the touchline then as Eliaquim Mangala looked as though he might not be able to continue.

A quick check with the Frenchman confirmed he was OK to continue, so Kompany went back to the dug out for his training top, having avoided the booking that would have meant him missing next week's Manchester derby.

Well played Gabriel Jesus, who puts the afterburners on and chases a ball forwards, Adrian is well off his line and ends up chopping the striker down.

Eliaquim Mangala has picked up an injury too I think. Fernandinho makes the 'substitution' gesture but instead it's Leroy Sane who comes off for Bernardo Silva.
