Adrian celebrates Angelo Ogbonna's goalImage source, AFP

I've been saying all season that Adrian should be starting in goal. It'll be a travesty if Moyes puts Hart back in for the next game. Ady played with REAL passion and that rubs off on our defence.

Don’t understand all the hype about West Ham scoring. Second half will be something like 5-1. Our defence is shocking!

Manchester City have won just two of their last 30 Premier League games in which they have been behind at half-time (D4 L24), however they did win last time against Huddersfield.

Never understand why managers worry about games in advance...win today's game first with the strongest team then worry about United.

    Manchester City 0-1 West Ham

If West Ham hang on to win today they will be 18th in the table, only inside the drop zone because of goal difference.

At the other end - if City lose and Manchester United beat them in next week's derby the lead would be down to two points.

    Title race back on?

Alternatively, Manchester City may win them both yet...

Sean: I would be interested in seeing shots on goal versus goals scored compared mcfc to other teams. It feels like City blow more chances to score than other teams

David Harris: I for one would be very happy to see United parking the bus in the 2nd half :)

Andy: I went to the pub before this, to ease the pain of watching the Hammers - now I'm wondering exactly how much I had to drink!

tom and 20 others: Pep needs to make a halftime change - primarily to the bit in the loan contract that says Hart can't play.

Dr Damian Fogarty: Four yes 4 minutes stoppage time added to this half! Fergie time is now Pep time in Manchester

  7. This is what losing looks like...published at 16:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

Manchester City last lost a game in the FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal - in April!

City will get a penalty or dodgy free kick, guaranteed. They always do when they are struggling.

Let's not get carried away. City were behind at this stage a week ago and equalised within 90 seconds of the restart.

It's amazing, 45 minutes at the Etihad and Adrian has only had one save to make. I predicted 5-0 for City today. West Ham are making it difficult for City and not letting their creative players get into the game and it was a well worked goal.

Eli Mangala puts a pass clean out of play - half-time.

That's the score we all expected at the break, right?

City get in behind for the first time as David Silva tees up Sergio Aguero - good save Adrian, but Aguero was offside.

Pep will no doubt berate the West Ham players as they come off for daring to play football against him.

Wow. We said before the game - set pieces are where Man City are vulnerable. Ederson with a strong right hand but he couldn't keep it out of the net.

    Well then!

Manchester City can't defend corners can they? Huddersfield scored one last week, Southampton should have had two in midweek and now West Ham lead from one!

Aaron Cresswell plays it short to Manuel Lanzini, he gets it back and crosses, Angelo Ogbonna heads down and Ederson can't claw it out!

  20. Pep's having a thinkpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

During that break in play, Pep Guardiola must have spent half a minute pacing up and down his technical area, rubbing his head, thinking of a plan to break the deadlock.

Whatever it is, it must involve Fabian Delph, who was called over to the touchline for more instructions.
