Fabian Delph, rehabilitated as a player, has played more passes than anyone so far. He's in the Fernandinho role today.

Delph and Ashley Young playing for England in the World Cup? The season of the forgotten man.

They need to move the ball quicker, Man City. Aguero's not been in the game yet but you've got to give credit to West Ham. They're frustrating City but it's very hard to do this for 90 minutes.

Pep Guardiola vents some steam when one of his players loses patience and plays a long ball over the top, it's easily dealt with by West Ham's legion of defenders. That's not the plan.

Agreed. West Ham would take this. Although remember how many late goals City score.

Superb from Ederson again, beating Michail Antonio to the ball and skipping inside, 45 yards from goal. No Joe Hart today - he can't play for West Ham as he's still on loan.

Doctor Joker: To be fair on Moyes, he's managed to keep the score down within 15 min of playing City, this is considering the quality of West Ham's defence

  7. Playing the way West Ham are is tough - Savagepublished at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Robbie Savage
Ex-Leicester City & Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Playing in this manner is physically very hard and mentally it's tough. It's not enjoyable but if you come away with points it's so rewarding.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

Arthur Masuaku puts in a decent cross which causes Ederson trouble, but the Brazilian's throw out is brilliant. It sets Leroy Sane away and Declan Rice has no real choice but to hack him down on halfway. Booking.

  9. Men behind the ball...published at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

West Ham have set out their stall!

Number 30 on the right is Michail Antonio, whose touch to poke wide from that earlier corner has given him, shall we say, a slightly false average position in the opening 15 miniutes.

You can see the shape West Ham are doing, five across the back, they're trying to defend the width of the penalty area.

Raheem Sterling's cross finds Sergio Aguero, he could have got a shot away as Angelo Ogbonna slipped but he was committed to laying it off. City win yet another corner. All possession, no pain yet though.

  12. 'Biggest ground in the Championship?'published at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City and West Ham share a recent past in that they have both moved out of famous old stadiums into new ones that were built for major athletics events.

But whilst City's arrival at what was the City of Manchester stadium, host for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, has been the catalyst for an upturn in fortunes their long-suffering fans could not contemplate two decades ago, West Ham's arrival at the London Stadium, home of the 2012 Olympic Games, has been mired in politics.

Whether it is the sight lines, the stewards, West Ham's poor form or the deals that were done to get the Hammers into the stadium in the first place, it feels as though the club have never made a proper start to life in their new home.

Unless there is a dramatic upturn in fortunes, the Championship could be welcoming its first 57,000-seater stadium next season.

They must have been some of the shortest negotiations ever.

  16. Postpublished at 10 mins

West Ham have men forwards now, but they lose the ball and in the end Pablo Zabaleta gives away a cheap foul. West Ham have survived 10 minutes, relatively comfortably too.

  17. 'He should have scored!'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 December 2017

Manchester City 0-0 West Ham United

    Robbie Savage

Nobody picked Antonio up and on the stretch he's toe poked it over the bar. A great chance for West Ham. He got free and should have scored.

  18. CLOSE!published at 8 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

Michail Antonio does very well to win a corner. Manchester City's Kryptonite.

And they nearly concede again! Cheikhou Kouyate flicks it on and Antonio stretches to volley over!

Southampton should have scored two from corners against City in midweek.
