Tom Parry: (re 16:35) playing against 10 defenders again? Well Jason it’s called tactics and until the league prevents man city spending 100’s millions every year that is what teams will do.

For a side who can be so entertaining this is all a bit dull from Manchester City. It's advantage Moyes so far you'd have to say.

Pep Guardiola uses the break in play as Cheikhou Kouyate is treated to give detailed instructions to Fabian Delph. Kouyate is going to carry on it seems. Lazarus-esque.

West Ham have a real blow as Cheikhou Kouyate goes down with an injury. Looks like a hamstring issue.

    He will surely come off?

You know City may not be creating chances but they will have a spell where they will be unstoppable. You've just got to hope, from West Ham's point of view, it's not before half time.

Apologies - my entry relating to that chance which Robbie Savage is talking about didn't publish for some reason.

Manuel Lanzini had a shot at the near post which Ederson unconvincingly saved into the side netting. Two good chances for West Ham!

What an opportunity. Ederson saved that - somehow. Lanzini smashes it, very ,very fortunate City.

Adrian is time wasting at every opportunity, as you'd expect. Yaya Toure looks incredibly bored on the City bench. He's only played 29 minutes in the league this season. Was it worth staying?

He played a big part last year of course, eventually.

After 25 minutes of football one thing is at least clear - With Hart unable to play, Adrian is doing his efforts to become the regular keeper at West Ham no harm at all.

Lovely touch from Raheem Sterling as he leaves Manuel Lanzini in a heap. Still, Adrian has only had that one save to make in the opening half hour.

Pep Guardiola was issuing some instructions to Fabian Delph just then with the usual whirlwind pointing.

The Manchester City boss must get in touch with the Football Association tomorrow after they asked for his observations about his bizarre post-match exchange with Southampton's Nathan Redmond.

If he is going to repeat it this afternoon, probably best to avoid former City boss Stuart 'Psycho' Pearce, who is in the opposite dug out having been appointed to David Moyes' backroom staff.

Every time a West Ham defender cuts out a cross he is patted on the back by his whole defence. Team effort.

Raheem Sterling shoots well wide. Patience is the name of the game for btoh sides at the moment.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 26 mins

    Manchester City 0-0 West Ham

First real save of the day, and it's a good one! City move the ball from right to left, Fabian Delph lets the ball run through his legs and David Silva collects. One touch and shot from 25 yards, it skims off the back of Declan Rice and Adrian pushes it over the bar.

Would Joe Hart have got that?
