What's becoming a bit worrying is every season Spurs go through this pattern.

I feel like they're starting to become a bit predictable. Teams are finding a formula to defend against them. They don’t have that one player like Liverpool's front line to go by you. Last year, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose were those players.

This year it feels like pass, pass, pass, pass, wait for Harry to do something special. Son Heung-min is looking like Spurs' best player. He's the only one to go by players and make things happen.

Riyad Mahrez would be perfect. I don't see why not. He wants to leave Leicester. I think it would be achievable if the number is right. Wilfried Zaha, anything could happen. Mauricio Pochettino could coach him to move up a level.

  2. 'Spurs need to start winning'published at 11:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

While Mauricio Pochettino has cited Manchester City's impeccable form and the fact that his team are only two points worse off than at this stage last season, there's no escaping the fact that Spurs need to start winning and keep winning.

The thought of losing further ground on their rivals for Champions League places isn't one they want to consider.

Nine dropped points at Wembley already will be a huge frustration and this is the type of match they simply have to be taking all three points from.

Stoke have been searching for their own consistency all season as they bid to win back-to-back league games for the first time since January. They'll no doubt be encouraged by Burnley, Swansea and West Brom's results at Wembley already.

  3. 'Spurs need Alderweireld and Wanyama'published at 11:18 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

All Spurs fans want for Christmas is Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama back. Spurs are a different team when they're not playing.

The one thing they lack is a goalscoring athlete like Riyad Mahrez. Some of their best performances have come in games where they've had about 35% possession, playing on the counter against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool. Demarai Gray would be a good signing.

What's the worst weather you've played or watched a game in?

Phil Broeders: Harlow League Cup semi-final which had to be played as the final was three days later. Six inches of snow and more coming down. Minus 4 degrees. No pitch markings, Passing impossible. We won 1-0 but I didn't even see the goal through the snow showers. Worst game ever.

Love that. Had to be played!

  11. 'Even a performance would do'published at 10:58 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

West Ham v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

West Ham have got to look to get anything from this game. I'd take a performance. If they can maintain that performance against Manchester City, even if they lose, they can feel they're working towards something. Then the next games seem winnable.

  12. 'No divine right to play'published at 10:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

West Ham v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

    Joe HartImage source, Reuters

"I don't want anyone to feel they have a divine right to play," Moyes said yesterday.

"I'm not going to reveal just at this moment which of them will be playing on Saturday.

"I am also aware that Joe is England's first-choice goalkeeper and there is a World Cup next summer but, as West Ham's manager, I am only interested in winning matches and doing what is right for this club."

  13. Hartless Hammerspublished at 10:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2017

West Ham v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)

One of the big talking points is around England goalkeeper Joe Hart - who is expected to be dropped for this game.

Loanee Hart was replaced for the trip to his parent club Manchester City last weekend - and Adrian reminded everyone he's still around with an impressive performance.

That was the Spaniard's only Premier League appearance of the season so far. Hart had started all previous 14 games, conceding 30 goals in that time - the most by any keeper in the league.

"The manager said he wanted (Jose) Fonte from Southampton and (Robert) Snodgrass from Hull. My kids begged me not to sign them.”

If you didn't catch the Guardian's interview, external with West Ham co-owner David Sullivan yesterday, it's pretty interesting. The above is Sullivan on ex-manager Slaven Bilic's recruitment drive.

“I should have got rid of him in the summer,” he adds of Bilic, who was sacked in November.

“My family gave me such grief for not doing it. I thought he’d sorted things out.”
