Jamie Vardy had a quiet game today, I thought he'd cause a lot of problems today, but Palace's two centre-halves were excellent against him. He didn't have a sniff.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Another yellow.

This for Danny Simpson. The Leicester full-back slides in and wins the ball ahead of Andros Townsend, but catches the Palace man on the follow-up.

    Harsh.

  3. Hodgson working a miraclepublished at 14:12 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

Crystal Palace fans will not believe the ‘as it stands’ table. A win here at Leicester takes them up to 14th. If Christian Benteke had scored that penalty against Bournemouth last week, then Palace would have been mid-table in 11th! Roy Hodgson is working a miracle... Well, sort of...

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Changes for each side with five minutes remaining.

Yohan Cabaye comes off for Jairo Riedewald for Palace, while Leonardo Ulloa is on for Jamie Vardy for Leicester.

  5. Palace on the counterpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger for 5 live Sport

Good counter attack. Ruben Loftus-Cheek holds the ball well, and gets the pass away, but Andros Townsend just blazes it over the bar.

  6. CLOSE!published at 84 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Riyad Mahrez the culprit again, giving the ball away to Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Palace have three on two on the counter.

The on-loan Chelsea midfielder plays it wide to Andros Townsend, who wasted the opportunity by striking over the crossbar.

Palace then have another chance to wrap the game but, but Christian Benteke's shot from the edge of the box deflects wide.

  7. Foxes subs have changed the gamepublished at 14:09 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger for 5 live Sport

This is more like it from Leicester. The subs have come on and they've really upped the pace, but it's all coming a bit late.

  8. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Home side Leicester cranking up the pressure late in this match, can they nick one?

Centre-back Harry Maguire is now playing as a makeshift centre-forward.

  9. Benteke should have had three or fourpublished at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

That was a great save. Christian Benteke should score, but Kasper Schmeichel makes himself big and gets something on it. Benteke could have had a hat-trick today - or four if you include his nearly own-goal.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 81 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Oh my, brilliant.

Kasper Schmeichel with a starjump save, similar to his dad Peter against Les Ferdinand over 20 years ago.

Andros Townsend puts a deep cross to the back post, Christian Benteke meets is with a full blooded header, but the Leicester goalkeeper leaps and spreads himself wide to keep the ball out.

  11. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Very comfortable for Crystal Palace, they are cruising to the three points.

Riyad Mahrez looks to make an angle, but his cross is straight at Julian Speroni.

  12. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Demarai Gray curls a corner into the box, but no happening for Leicester as Wes Morgan rises but nods wide from six yards out.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    He come the cavalry.

Seyi: Leicester City can't break down a team that defends deep. This is where they need Iheanacho. A fox in the box.

Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell with a shot from 30+ yards out.

    Over.

    Awful.

  16. Palace need another goalpublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Chris Waddle

Palace are going okay here, they're getting good possession, but they need to use it and get another goal to kill the game. If Leicester get one back, it's 2-1, and the crowd will get up.

Palace winger Wilfried Zaha now being booed by the Leicester fans...

  18. Changes needed for Leicesterpublished at 13:59 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger for 5 live Sport

I'm surprised Claude Puel hasn't made any subs yet - just to get some fresh legs on and to try and change something. They've shown a bit more urgency in this second-half, but they were terrible in the first 45 minutes, terrible.

  19. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Wilfried Zaha MOM, nailed on.

He has given Leicester a torrid time today. The home players cannot cope with him.

Wilfred Ndidi is the first player to be sent off in the Premier League on his birthday since Dwight Gayle (Crystal Palace v West Ham) on 17 October 2015.
