Martin Atkinson's decisions in this half are splitting opinion.

IMO, it was a penalty at both ends.

Ryan Richards: Big few minutes for Atkinson. Both decisions absolutely spot on - bravo.

Tony Greaves: Not sure about the last two minutes of refereeing...

A Palace fan and a Leicester fan?

  8. What else could the ref do?published at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live at King Power Stadium

Chants of “You’re not fit to referee” ring out at the King Power, but what else could Martin Atkinson have done? Leicester have shot themselves in the foot. They had just started to ask some questions of the Palace back line.

Three Leicester subs have been sent out to warm-up. Claude Puel - stood with his hands on his hips - knows he needs to make a change, can Leicester find a way back into the game with only ten men?

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 65 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Martin Atkinson, #headsgone.

He did not give a penalty to Wilfred Ndidi at one end and fails to award one to Christian Benteke at the other.

The Belgian striker is sent tumbling after being scythed down from behind by Marc Albrighton.

It is a stonewaller, the clearest penalty you will ever see, Palace should be given an opportunity for the third from the spot but the referee waves play on.

    Ridiculous decision.

It was a dive. I don't know why the crowd's applauding him. Wilfred Ndidi deserves to get sent off there, I don't know why he does it - nobody's anywhere near him.

  11. RED CARD FOR LEICESTERpublished at 62 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Plenty of cards for the birthday boy, Wilfred Ndidi is SENT OFF.

The Leicester midfielder is already on a yellow card and goes down in the box.

Scott Dann is in front of him but makes no touch, but does James McArthury clips in ankle from behind? There seems to be a slight touch.

Martin Atkinson does not think so, pulling out a second yellow and then brandishes the red.

  12. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 61 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Leicester hit back!

    No they don't.

Vicente Iborra heads in to the corner from Riyad Mahrez's deep delivery.

It is chalked off by Martin Atkinson, as he spots a push from the goalscorer on James Tomkins.

A win for Palace would be bad news for Newcastle, Stoke and Bournemouth, who will all drop a place towards the relegation zone.

That takeover of the Toon cannot come quickly enough.

Claude Puel has obviously had words at half-time, they've really upped their tempo. Riyad Mahrez has already had one chance, and Palace are holding on at the moment.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 56 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Referee Martin Atkinson dishing cards out like it's...........

Leicester defender Harry Maguire the latest after a horrible, late sliding challenge on James Tomkins.

The former Sheffield United and Hull man had lost control of the ball and tried retrieving it, only succeeding in chopping down the Palace centre-back.

Matt: Demarai Gray is mint. Reminds me of a young Raheem Sterling. Leicester are still in the game as long as he's on the pitch. But how long before he moved to a bigger club?

Sterling is 23, Gray is 21...

  18. CLOSE!published at 54 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are very well organised all over the field and Leicester are having to solve a tough conundrum here.

They work the ball from right to left, before Riyad Mahrez plays a pass into the box for Wilfred Ndidi.

The midfielder has burst forward but this shot from the angle flies wide of Julian Speroni's far post.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 51 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

Christian Benteke with a high boot on Vicente Iborra, booked.

Wilfred Ndidi, on his 21st birthday, gets a card from the referee too. Aww, how sweet.

It's a yellow coloured one for hacking down Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

  20. That's got the crowd going!published at 13:38 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2017

    Leicester 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Chris Waddle

That's probably got the crowd going. Riyad Mahrez at his best - step-over takes it left to right - gets the shot off and it's a great save from Julian Speroni.
