With 15 minutes to go, I'll remind you that Astana need three more goals. I won't mention how long it took them to get their last three.

    Astana 4-1 Celtic (agg 4-6)

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is being kept busy as he tips over a deflected shot, then beats away a powerful strike and is glad to see the follow-up effort bounce straight into his arms.

    Astana 4-1 Celtic (agg 4-6)

Leigh Griffiths tries to make amends for that earlier miss as he curls a free kick over the defensive wall and it needs a diving save from Nenad Eric.

"Bitton slack twice in two minutes and he's punished badly the second time. Astana's fourth came just moments after a fabulous chance for Leigh Griffiths. Surely not."

It was so easy for them in that first half. Second half, they've let themselves down.

    Patrick Twumasi

    What is going on?!

Leigh Griffiths blazes over a great chance at the other end and suddenly the deficit is reduced further.

Patrick Twumasi dances past Nir Bitton on the touchline then cuts into the penalty box from the right. The angle is tight but he hammers a shot under the sprawling Craig Gordon.

Stuart Armstrong is involved straight away, setting up Leigh Griffiths to have a dip. The Celtic striker gets plenty on the shot from the left edge of the penalty box but it's straight at the keeper.

"Celtic have weathered that rather worrying storm. The switch to a back three from Brendan Rodgers has stifled the home side's efforts to find a way in behind."

Celtic look a bit more secure after those changes and here comes another.

Stuart Armstrong is on for goal-scorer Scott Sinclair.

I'd like to see Brown and Ntcham just sit in front of what is now a back three. Keep it simple and close down the space.

Celtic manager Brendan Rogers aims to steady the rocking ship with a couple of changes

A big chance for Astana... Celtic are all over the place at the back as the ball is drilled into the path of Junior Kabananga on the edge of the six yard box and the big striker sidefoots wide. A real let-off for Celtic.

Thanks to Chris for doing the sums. Celtic need to recover from a shocking start to the second half. Astana are fired up as Serikzhan Muzhikov scuffs a volley into the arms of Craig Gordon.

"And suddenly the home fans believe. Ragged play from the visitors to give Astana hope. They still need four."

They only need one more and then it's real game on. It gets the crowd on their side.

Gulp! More sloppiness from Celtic and the ball is popped into the centre of the penalty area where Patrick Twumasi is completely unmarked to nod home.

Do we have a game on our hands after all?

Not great from Scott Brown. Not great at all.

The Celtic skipper gives the ball away from a miscued pass and then he heads the resultant cross into the path of Serikzhan Muzhikov, who hammers the ball high into the net.

When Celtic have given the ball away cheaply, that's when Astana have had a sniff. Brendan Rodgers will be looking at that

HT: Astana 1-1 Celtic (agg 1-6)

Let's assume Celtic are progressing to the Champions League group stage, where they will be in pot three or four for Thursday's draw.

Celtic will make it into the third pot of seeds if any of Sevilla, Liverpool, Olympiakos or Napoli fail to progress.

Sevilla lead Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 going into their second leg in Spain.

Napoli are 2-0 up on Nice and play their second leg in France.

Olympiakos hold a slender 2-1 advantage over hosts Rijeka.

All of those games come later this evening.

Liverpool lead Hoffenheim 2-1 ahead of their return leg tomorrow at Anfield.
