Craig Gordon is at full stretch to push over a header from Marin Anicic as Astana threaten from an in-swinging corner.

Celtic should be in front. Kieran Tierney makes his way forward and ghosts past his man to deliver a lovely cross from James Forrest. He throws himself at the header from eight yards but powers the ball wide.

A sloppy pass from Scott Brown has Astana charging forward again. A fizzing ball into the "corridor of uncertainty" is not far away from the stretching Junior Kabananga.

Here comes Scott Sinclair with the chance to reply and silence the crowd. The keeper is off his line swiftly and is able to make a good block from the Celtic winger's shot.

James Forrest darts forward on the right and his cross looks like finding Scott Sinclair near the penalty spot before a defender in yellow gets the slightest of touches. A spot of pinball in the box and the hosts clear.

And here come Celtic again. This time it's Callum McGregor with the shot from the left edge of the box and Nenad Eric makes a showy diving save, pushing the ball away from the lurking Scott Sinclair.

An ambitious effort from Junior Kabananga, who turns and lets fly from 25 yards. A wee fumble from Craig Gordon, who gathers at the second attempt.

Suddenly Celtic are motoring up the park on the counter-attack. Callum McGregor slips a pass to Scott Sinclair inside the penalty box but the winger takes a shade too long and then slips while shooting and his effort is blocked by a covering defender.

Nir Bitton is slack with a pass at the back, giving his manager and team-mates a scare. However, the danger is snuffed out and the Israeli make amends soon after with a good tackle inside the penalty area.

Astana need to make an early change as Laszlo Kleinheisler is replaced by Srdan Grahovac.
