One of the best comeback chants I've heard was when Arsenal played away to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. The Forest fans sang "Champions of Europe, you'll never say that". Arsenal fans replied, "Champions of Europe, you weren't even born."

The Burnley game is finishing 15 minutes at least before the other two of course so there's still time for Roy Hodgson and co. Heurelho Gomes flaps at a cross to give Ruben Loftus-Cheek a chance but he can't get it on goal.

FOUR minutes added on. Can Stoke fight back?

That was only Burnley's second shot on target all night.

Terry Cooper: Some Chelsea fans are embarrassed by certain chants tonight. Some of us know our history and always respect our opponents. Huddersfield under Herbert Chapman were legendary

Mr E: So because Bakayoko scores past Huddersfield he’s proven the critics wrong. Some Football fans really are thick

GOAL - Burnley 1-0 Stokepublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Ashley Barnes (89 mins)

    Burnley are going fourth!

They've been poor, created next to nothing, but I tell you what that is a great finish! Just a long ball down the field, Ashley Barnes heads it down, Scott Arfield gives it him back and he thunders a shot past Jack Butland and into the corner.

They stayed in the game, and they are going to ground out another win. Maybe.

  8. Postpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Burnley 0-0 Stoke

Almost excellent! Mame Diouf heads down, Peter Crouch sort of miscontrols but sort of intentionally flicks the ball over a defender's head in the way that only he really can, he then stretches and fires over from 12 yards. Classic Crouch.

To Seth 21.11, Chelsea fans sing "Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that". Best response to date: Southampton fans at Stamford Bridge last season, sang "Johnstone's Paint Trophy, you'll never win that"

Peterborough have now scored a fourth goal - they lead Woking 4-2. Could it be the end of the road for the two non league sides in FA Cup action tonight?

  12. Will Grigg's on firepublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

Grigg has scored again to put League One leaders Wigan 3-2 up against AFC Fylde in the FA Cup. Can the non league side find an equaliser?

He's shaking his head and I can see why - Xherdan Shaqiri comes off for Stoke as on comes Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Could, maybe should be four for the visitors as Pedro places a shot wide from 12 yards, after another superb touch from Eden Hazard. The man plays more shots ahead than Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Hazard's work is done, he gets a rest as Michy Batshuayi comes on.

Stephen Rankin: You lot need to understand your tenses! "Champions of England, you'll never sing that" is prospective - saying they'll never win it again. We're not singing "Champions of England, you've never sung that"

  17. FA Cup - Wigan equalisepublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

It's now 2-2 in the game between Wigan and AFC Fylde. Will Grigg with the goal. Could we be heading for extra time in that one?

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Watford

Watford look the more threatening side at Selhurst Park. This would be a(nother) missed opportunity for the Eagles.

And that is a missed opportunity! I've been singing his praises but that should be in the back of the net from Richarlison. Free at the back post, he brings the cross down but can only shoot at the shins of Julian Speroni.

    BIG CHANCE.
