  1. goal

GOAL - Southampton 1-0 Huddersfieldpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Charlie Austin (24 mins)

    A predatory finish.

Southampton had just been starting to turn up the pressure with a couple of corners and, from the second, they score as Wesley Hoedt heads down to the far post where Charlie Austin is lurking and he stoops in to head home.

  2. Postpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 Bournemouth

Manchester City earn a corner, and it's whipped in by Leroy Sane.

Fernandinho gets a head on it, but it goes over the target and doesn't really trouble Asmir Begovic.

  3. CLOSE!published at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Stoke 1-0 West Brom

West Brom snap back immediately as Salomon Rondon picks up a loose ball and fires at Jack Butland, who gets down low to save it.

  4. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Crystal Palace

Swansea could do with a bit of luck because they are not creating much from open play, and by not creating much I mean creating absolutely nothing. No shots on or off target yet for the hosts.

  5. 'Swansea unfortunate'published at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Swansea 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Danny Mills
    Ex-England defender on Final Score

Danny Mills thinks it was a clear penalty for Swansea as Luciano Narsingh went down in the box...

I think it's a penalty. There's the slightest bit of contact but its a foul - if it's anywhere else on the pitch the referee would give it. It's clumsy, he doesn't get the ball and there's contact - I think he's unfortunate not to get the penalty.

  6. goal

GOAL - Stoke 1-0 West Brompublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Joe Allen (18 mins)

A palpable sigh of relief around the bet365 Stadium!

Joe Allen coolly slots home after being teed up by Peter Crouch, who did well to control the ball out on the right.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    West Ham 1-1 Newcastle

Almost a second for Newcastle as Dwight Gayle hits the bar with a rising effort from DeAndre Yedlin's cross.

Pretty even half now after a dramatic opening 10 minutes. Henri Saivet is keeping quiet.

  8. Postpublished at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 Bournemouth

Manchester City have 82% of the ball but haven't had a clear-cut chance in the first 15 minutes.

It's a bit flat at the moment

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Huddersfield

Huddersfield getting closer to an opener as Christopher Schindler rises to meet a superb Florent Hadergjonaj cross and his header looks to be sneaking in under the bar but Fraser Forster superbly tips it over. Great reactions from the Southampton keeper.

  10. 'Troubling times'published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Brom

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Football Focus

West Brom are desperate for points.

If Jonny Evans is allowed to leave in the transfer window then that's very bad news. He could be a top six player in January.

Both clubs are in really, really troubling times.

    Stoke 0-0 West Brom

    It's all pretty quiet here.

Salomon Rondon has just sliced well over the bar for West Brom after being set up by James McClean.

Alan Pardew is wearing his concerned face today. The Baggies haven't won in 16 league matches.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Manchester City 0-0 Bournemouth

    Chance for Bournemouth!

Adam Smith releases Jordon Ibe down the right.

He crosses for Junior Stanislas, who sends his volley wide of the post.

And that's going to be his last action of the match. Stanislas is going to be forced off with an injury, so Marc Pugh is called up from the bench.

  16. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-1 Newcastlepublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Henri Saivet (10 mins)

What a way to make amends!

Newcastle have a free kick 25 yards from goal and Henri Saivet, who was at fault for the West Ham opener, steps up and says (probably) 'I'm having this' before proceeding to tuck a superb free-kick just inside the post.

West Ham's lead lasted four minutes.

  17. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Southampton 0-0 Huddersfield

Important intervention by Scott Malone as he sticks out a boot to clear a low corner into the box. Charlie Austin was unmarked and waiting behind him and would have had a clear shot at goal if Malone was not so sharp.

  18. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

The league leaders are all over this.

Kevin de Bruyne loops the ball in from the right and Steve Cook has to stoop low to clear the danger for a corner.

  19. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    Stoke 0-0 West Brom

Darren Fletcher sees his low drive saved by Ben Foster, in Stoke's first real chance.

  20. Impressive Moyespublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2017

    West Ham 1-0 Newcastle

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on Football Focus

I'm really impressed with the impact David Moyes has had. He is exactly what the players needed at this time.

They have got some good players and they look a better, fitter team all round now. I think they are heading in a really good direction.
