    Scottish Cup - third round

It's all a bit flat in the top flight this afternoon but we've had a few goals in the Scottish Cup.

League One leaders Ayr United are trailing 2-1 at junior side Banks O'Dee and Formartine United are beating Forfar 1-0.

    Hibernian 0-0 St Johnstone

Nice approach work from Hibs, with Marvin Bartley feeding Martin Boyle, whose precise ball across the box invites a better finish, but Anthony Stokes' left-footed drive arrows over the bar.

  3. Tactical switch helps Donspublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2017

    Aberdeen 0-0 Motherwell

    Scott Davie
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Great start by Motherwell who were determined to prove next weekend's League Cup final wouldn't be a distraction and only a series of good saves by Joe Lewis denied them an early goal.

But Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes switched to a back three after a torrid first 10 minutes and that has started to impact on the visitors attacking threat.

Precious little to get excited about thus far, despite the contrasting form the teams carried in to this match. Neither goalkeeper has been made to work yet. Brandon Barker and John McGinn look bright for Hibs but their efforts have been in vain so far.

    Rangers 0-0 Hamilton

The home side are ramping up the pressure as Kenny Miller and Alfredo Morelos both go inches wide with shots.

    Aberdeen 0-0 Motherwell

Andy Rose is getting on to the end of everything for Motherwell. He's had two shots, both on target, and two headers, both just off target.

Aberdeen have been well warned about the threat the midfielder poses.

Aberdeen look a wee bit disjointed. I know they've made some changes, but they haven't really got going in this match. Motherwell have dominated the opening spell

    Scottish Cup - third round

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland

This is the first season Glenafton Athletic have ever been in the Scottish Cup and in the words of their manager Craig McEwan, they "don't want the adventure to stop".

The New Cumnock side are in the competition thanks to their Scottish Junior Cup triumph last season, when they were also West of Scotland Super League Premier Division winners.

To get to this third round stage against Livingston today, they've had to beat Newton Stewart and Golspie Sutherland in preliminary rounds, before seeing off Threave Rovers in the first round and Deveronvale in the second.

Livingston will be a tough nut to crack, though. David Hopkin has his men flying in the Championship - sitting third - and only one point off top spot.

Seniors versus juniors... what the Scottish Cup is all about.

    Jonathan Sutherland

For Dundee it's all about stopping the rot and ignoring the pressure. Five straight defeats means that today's match is massive. As for the visitors, Steve Clarke's side are surfing the crest of the wave in terms of form, his side picks itself. A win for Kilmarnock would move them six points clear of the bottom of the table hosts.

    FT: Ross County 0-1 Celtic

Ross County boss Owen Coyle is in agreement with opposite number Brendan Rodgers about the quality of the only goal in Dingwall.

"We had a good shape and we carried a threat going forward. It's taken a real moment of magic to beat us. It's a bit of real class and it must be wonderful for Celtic to have talent like that to bring on.

"If we continue to play like that, we'll move on up the league. We were still running strong at the end, getting into good positions.

"I've been delighted with the way the players have gone about their business since we came in."
