    Tom English
    Chief sports writer, BBC Scotland

"Celtic will just hope that it doesn’t go beyond six goals – that’s probably the scale of the ambition. PSG are a fairly relentless side and they don’t tend to ease up. They could have had six already."

  6. 'Scott Brown has disappointed'published at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2017

    HT: Paris St-Germain 4-1 Celtic

    Scott McDonald
Former Celtic striker on BBC Sportsound

"We’ll look upon some of the goals as Celtic mistakes, but you’ve got to applaud the play from PSG.

"Neymar is dominating the game and certainly living up to his price tag. He’s dropping deeper, playing these lovely 30-40-yard balls over the top for strikers.

"I’m disappointed for Celtic – Scott Brown especially, it’s not like him, but he’s given the ball away on numerous occasions, very sloppy, and he’s been punished.

"I think Ntcham has done ok, it’s very difficult for any Celtic player to get into the game tonight, and Dembele has had some positive runs.

"You were just hoping they could hold out after the opening goal and keep PSG for a little bit longer, and it’s just an uphill task from now on to keep the score as low as possible."

In the other Group B match it's goalless between Anderlecht and Bayern Munich.

Celtic could do with the Germans winning that one to make life a bit easier for their final game of the campaign at home to the Belgians.

Kenny Gavin: Celtic fans, welcome to the world of the other 11 SPFL teams when we play you.

Conan D'Agostino: This reminds me of Narey's goal against Brazil - it made them angry.

Stephen Murray: Laugh all you’s want but another treble will keep you’s quiet.

  10. HALF-TIME Paris St-Germain 4-1 Celticpublished at 45 mins

Celtic made the dream start when Moussa Dembele crashed in a shot with just over 60 seconds gone. Since then it's been all downhill, I'm afraid.

Neymar has been hugely impressive for PSG, sliding home two neat shots and setting up the third goal for Edinson Cavani.

Kylian Mbappe then got in on the action, finding the top corner via the woodwork.

Moussa Dembele cuts into the PSG box from the left, twists one way then another, then falls over looking for a penalty. Nothing doing.

In a flash, the hosts are flying up the park and Nir Bitton is cautioned for stopping Neymar with an unorthodox wrestling hold.

"When the pass comes, PSG look as if they’re through every single time. Celtic have got to get tight on their players and not allow them that freedom in the box."

This is getting painful for Celtic and their band of supporters and the worry is that the pain is only going to get worse. They are being tested and toyed with in a manner that simply doesn’t happen at home. Their best hope is that PSG take their foot off the gas in the second half with a big game against Monaco to come at the weekend.

    Paris St-German 4-1 Celtic

Neymar is really turning it on this evening. The £200m man pings an exquisite crossfield pass into the path of Kylian Mbappe and it needs a good stop from Craig Gordon to deny the France striker a second goal on the volley.

And it all started so well...

Aidan Pidgeon: Now it's going to be a long long night, we badly need back up for positions especially if certain players get injured. I guess the League Cup Final is on Sunday so that can be looked forward too but we have to defend far better.

John Grant: Shouldn’t have scored first. Serious lack of respect!

Sean Donohue: It’s like trying to catch water with your bare hands

"What a finish into the top corner.

"Celtic, they’ve been responsible for their own downfall in many ways because they’ve given the ball away, but this is really quality finishing from a superb group of players.

"You will not get any better than that anywhere in the world."

    Kylian Mbappe

Celtic are punished for more woeful defending as they fail to clear a poorly hit free kick. Kylian Mbappe is left all alone to tee himself up and he cracks a shot through the hands of the advancing Craig Gordon, with the ball going in via the far post.

James Forrest may be struggling with his defensive duties as a wing-back but he produces a couple of nice touches to get past two opponents and drive his team forward. Yet again, it all fizzles out with a mis-placed pass. Scott Brown the offender this time.

Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

"It’s all happening in Celtic’s right-back position, the left side for PSG where they’ve got a world-class player (Mr Neymar), but still, you’ve got to defend better than Celtic are doing in that position."
