Hamza: Ozil will stay because he is comfortable but Sanchez is more hungry so he will force a move to a contending team in the top five divisions.

Lewis Wilson: Sanchez and Ozil will be playing for the draw in order to keep their new clubs ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal. (Manchester United and Manchester City respectively).

Ben Saxton: Sell Sanchez for a good price, definitely keep Ozil and Wilshire!

Arsenal’s former double-winning captain Frank McLintock has been speaking to BBC Radio 5 live about the state of the current team under Arsene Wenger.

“I felt disappointed we finished fifth last year, and we could finish fifth or sixth this year, hopefully not.

“I admire good football, and in the last few years Tottenham have been playing very good football, I just get disappointed as we were promised things and we haven’t been able to accomplish that. I don’t think the team are anywhere near as good as some of the teams I've seen in the past.

“In the last 15 years, this is just an ordinary team in comparison to the ones Arsene Wenger has brought through. Wenger and the owner have decided between them they can’t spend as much money as some of the other bigger clubs are doing.

“Some of the buys have not been as good as I expected, but at the time, if you look back over Wenger’s career, he came in and took over after George Graham and Bruce Rioch and did a fantastic job for about 12-14 years, but in the last three or four years, we have lost the plot and I don’t think we are going to challenge anyone.”

  3. Who will come out on top?published at 18:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2018

This will be Arsenal's 60th match against Chelsea under the management of Arsene Wenger, and the first of three in quick succession with the two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final to be played over the next three weeks.

Wenger's meetings with Antonio Conte's Chelsea have already developed something of a narrative. Last season's Premier League clashes were emphatically won by the home teams, before Arsenal denied the champions a double in the FA Cup Final.

This season, they've played out a draw in the Community Shield (won by Arsenal on penalties) and another in the league at Stamford Bridge. After the packed recent schedule, this may be a similarly close contest.

Not sure it’s right to say Arsenal are on a good run. Lots of draws. Not enough.

Nervous about this game. Either will be really dull - or a high scoring event. It is never in between!

  6. Fabregas plays against his former clubpublished at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2018

So Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is back in the starting line-up after being on the bench for the 5-0 win over Stoke and is playing against his former side tonight, after he spent more than eight years with the Gunners.

He helped them win the FA Cup in 2005 before heading off to Barcelona in the summer of 2011.

But it was not long before he was back in the Premier League, and back in London, as he joined Chelsea in June 2014. He has won two Premier League titles and the League Cup during his time there.

  10. How they standpublished at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2018

Both teams will be hoping to end the day in a higher position than they start it.

Chelsea are third but will jump over Manchester United with a win, while an Arsenal victory will move them above fierce rivals Tottenham and into fifth.

And what a game we have tonight.

Arsenal versus Chelsea. Last year's FA Cup winners versus last season's Premier League champions.

Sixth versus third this time around, with both sides desperately needing a win.

It is going to be a good one.
