    That was awful from Paul Pogba, who just shot well wide when the rebound from a Jesse Lingard shot came to him, unmarked, in the penalty area, about 12 yards out.

    The visiting fans responded in predictable fashion to a player that cost £89m.

    Everton have made a much better job of this than the Premier League game here recently. They have been much more positive and confident and the introduction of Ademola Lookman has given their attacking an extra dimension.
