Strike! Tom Lawrence looks a proper menace for Derby and he's so direct, running through the middle and hitting a 25-yard drive which Sergio Romero has to push aside for a corner.

  4. 'End-to-end stuff'published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

It is opening up for fun here, end-to-end stuff and that was a vital save from Jordan Pickford from Andrew Robertson's shot.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

The game's getting ragged now, stretched. James Milner puts in a cross from one wing which Jordan Pickford parries out to Andrew Robertson, he takes a touch and shoots high and hard, well saved by Pickford!

James McCarthy is then booked for his umpteenth foul in the middle. Half an hour to go.

  6. Postpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Wise precaution from Everton manager Sam Allardyce to remove Wayne Rooney. No lack of effort, maybe almost too much, but nothing was going right and he was starting to look like a red card waiting to happen.

  7. CLOSE!published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 Derby

Another half chance, Juan Mata has a low shot saved, Romelu Lukaku has a shot blocked and Paul Pogba curls wide.

  8. Hard times for Henrikhpublished at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 Derby

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

It is fair to say Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been a big disappointment as a Manchester United player.

He has only shown flashes of the form that made him such a key figure at Borussia Dortmund and getting replaced at half-time, as he did on his full debut against Manchester City last season, is never a good sign.

Inter Milan would love to take him on loan but have been told United are only willing to negotiate a straight sale.

    Borussia Dortmund are also interested.

  9. 'Lacking confidence'published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC One

You expect more from Lallana, he doesn't even hit the target. He strangely looked like he was lacking confidence there.

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

    Adam LallanaImage source, Reuters

Another good chance for Liverpool! They break and break well, Adam Lallana is the man haring through the middle but he looks a bit short of sharpness and toe-pokes wide when he would have wanted to run it into the penalty area.

  11. Postpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 Derby

Romelu Lukaku's first involvement sees him win the ball back and find Ander Herrera, they have a man over in Juan Mata but Herrera chooses to shoot instead and pumps it into the Stretford End.

  12. CLOSE!published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Should score! Joe Gomez is left all alone at a corner and he closes his eyes and heads it meekly wide! Jurgen Klopp can't believe it. Big chance.

    Kevin Kilbane

It looks like Henrikh Mkhitaryan is going off, he struggled in the first half - simple passes, giving the ball away, his first touch letting him down.
