    Brentford 0-0 Notts County

League Two side Notts County have made a more than decent start against Brentford at Griffin Park. Jon Stead has had a couple of opportunities and Ryan Yates could well have put them in front but was off target with a free header.

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

    Burnley go very close.

A Clarets' corner is headed back across the six-yard area by former City man Ben Mee but nobody is there to turn it in.

The visitors' best chance of the match so far.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Wigan

Two chances for Bournemouth as they build pressure on their League One opponents.

Lys Mousset's effort looks goal-bound but it's blocked and bounces out for a corner, while Nathan Ake's header goes wide of the target.

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

City, with a strong XI on the pitch, have been the better team in this all-Premier League tie.

David Silva hit the woodwork with an effort earlier and seconds ago Ilkay Gundogan's goalbound free-kick came off the wall.

    Exeter 0-1 West Brom

    Brent Pilnick
    BBC Sport

West Brom’s tiny travelling army are in full voice. I think that goal caught them by surprise.

Just one minute and 10 seconds on the watch when Salomon Rondon’s goal went in.

A first win since August is the prize if they can get a victory here at Exeter, and so far you can tell which side is the top flight club.

It could be a long afternoon for the League Two club.

  6. Positive Pardewpublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Exeter 0-1 West Brom

    Clive Allen
Former England forward on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Alan Pardew has shown his intent with the line-up he has picked for West Brom and the fans will be pleased to see how he is treating the Cup properly. Kieran Gibbs has had to go off early but he's shown his positive intent by bringing Hal Robson-Kanu on. They're going for it today.

    Newcastle 0-0 Luton

Good effort for Newcastle! Jacob Murphy cuts inside and curls one toward the top corner but it's well saved by Marek Stech, at full stretch.

  8. CLOSE!published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Coventry 0-0 Stoke

Jordan Willis clears off the line for Coventry! The Sky Blues defender stops Mame Biram Diouf's effort from a long ball over the top.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Wolves 0-0 Swansea

A Wolves goal looks on the cards - Morgan Gibbs-White is played in on goal but his effort is well saved in the end.

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

The 7,600 Burnley fans who sold out their section at Etihad Stadium are all presently on their feet and making a right old racket.

In an era where the competition has lost some of its shine, it does not seem to have altered the appetite of their supporters - or that of the 5,000 or so Derby supporters who went to Old Trafford last night, or the 7,200 Luton fans who are at St James' Park today.

By the way, there are not many empty seats anywhere at the Etihad today. Yes, the club have reduced ticket prices for this tie, but are there any fans anywhere who think that is a bad thing?

    Exeter 0-1 West Brom

Chris Brunt has gone close to extending West Brom's lead and now Kieran Gibbs has been forced off with an injury inside 10 minutes at St James Park. Hal Robson-Kanu has come on for the Baggies.

    It's all happening.

  12. Mee's returning homepublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Burnley defender Ben Mee is the nearest thing to a local boy today.

Mee was brought up in Sale, seven miles from the Etihad Stadium.

He is a lifelong City fan who progressed through the club's academy, without quite making the grade.

Mee made a single first-team appearance before he joined Burnley in 2011, initially on loan.

  13. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Luton

Luton playing exactly as you'd expect - brim full of confidence. The League Two leaders have more than held their own so far with a few dangerous crosses into the middle coming to nothing.

  14. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

First big chance of the match down at the Cottage.

Saints striker Shane Long finds the net with a low drive from Steven Davis' backheel flick, but the assistant referee raises the flag.

The replay suggests he was half a yard off. Well done replay.

    Bolton 0-0 Huddersfield

A pretty even start at the Macron - both sides have survival on their mind.

  16. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Bournemouth 0-1 Wigan

Premier League Bournemouth are behind against the League One leaders but they've come close to an equaliser already.

Lys Mousset meets Connor Mahoney's free kick but goalkeeper Christian Walton parries away his header.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Wolves 0-0 Swansea

Wilfried Bony drags a shot wide for Swansea before Wolves have the ball in the net - but the flag was long since raised for offside.

  18. Cardiff City Stadium quiet againpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Cardiff 0-0 Mansfield

    Dafydd Pritchard
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

At least half the Cardiff City Stadium is closed today but, to their credit, League Two's Mansfield have brought more fans than some Championship sides.

Given the hosts' poor attendances against lower-league opposition in the FA Cup in recent years, couldn't Cardiff have given season ticket holders heavily discounted - if not free - tickets?

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Luton

Newcastle want a penalty as Matt Ritchie plays a one-two and then goes down inside the area - nothing doing!

  20. goal

GOAL - Exeter 0-1 West Brompublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 January 2018

    Salomon Rondon (2 mins)

    That was quick!

Exeter appeal for a handball, it's not given, and West Brom sprint forward on the break. Salomon Rondon takes a shot from distance and it sneaks into the top corner past goalkeeper Christy Pym.

We reckon that was less than 90 seconds from kick-off to goal.
