Matt: Could January 2018 be the beginning of there being a top five rather than a top six? Arsenal are now eight points off the top four and their best player could be on the move.
Dan Pinchemain: Good luck trying to be in a league game like that now Coutinho...

What were you doing on 5 April 2017?
The new pound coin had only been out a week, the snap general election hadn't even been called, and Manchester City last lost a Premier League match...

Today's game might mean that Newcastle's next trip to Anfield might not be shown live on Sky.

I think you are going to have to score three or four goals to beat Man City this season - and luckily for Liverpool - they've got four today. You just wish we can see games like this every week.
Andy Robertson was brilliant at left-back, Emre Can was fantastic in the middle and Jurgen Klopp has got to be delighted with his team today. Credit to Liverpool's defence - even though City scored three.

Manchester City remain 15 points clear at the top of the league, amazing in itself, but how close is it from there?!
Who will end up in fifth?
What happened in 1977?!

Ellis: The wife wanted me in the garden pulling up sprouts, glad I didn’t! Best game I’ve seen since 1976/77!
Wasiyullah: What a stunning stunning game. Needed something special to break City's unbeaten streak & Liverpool delivered it. Game of the season for me.

A huge roar as Jurgen Klopp windmills his arms to the main stand. That was an ode to Kevin Keegan that game.
Brilliant.

Brilliant game. Liverpool were fantastic the way they pressed the ball and their goals in the second half were brilliant. A great spectacle from Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, and a great advert for the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola share an embrace before Klopp trots on to the pitch to hug every City player, some of whom are smiling. They know they've played their part in a classic.

What a wonderful 90 minutes of football.
Manchester City will be champions but they will not be unbeaten.

You could hear the relief around the stadium. Sergio Aguero's got his head to it and it's gone just wide - so close!

SIDE-NETTING!
Oh that's a great chance! Sergio Aguero heads Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick wide! You've never heard Anfield so quiet...

SERIOUSLY?! WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

City free-kick, dangerous area. Get Ederson up there!

Wow it's 4-3 with three minutes to play. Ilkay Gundogan's found some space in the middle of the area and he's poked it home. Jurgen Klopp is going mad in the technical area - his glasses have steamed up - his hair is going everywhere. Steam is coming out of his ears - they were 4-1 up - cruising.

There are FOUR minutes added on. We're into the second...
Ilkay Gundogan
Oh my word...
Surely not!
Great play from Sergio Aguero to cross a left-footed ball to the back post, Ilkay Gundogan kills it on his chest and then stabs it home from close range. Grabs the ball out of the net, runs back...

Great result for Arsenal today. It means I can carry on reminiscing about the Invincibles. Well done Liverpool.
