I think the referee and the VAR has got every single one of those decisions right.

In the early days of this system, VAR, there's always going to be a lot of misunderstanding about it from the players and the fans. Because the West Brom players complained about their disallowed goal, but it was offside. And they complained about Mo Salah's alleged dive, but he was pushed. And again they were right to check West Brom's third goal, because it was close, but they were right - it was a goal.

Can we not just keep going?

What a game of football this is! There are lots of people discussing VAR - and rightfully so - but what about some of that defending from Liverpool?

West Brom have scored three goals at Anfield. Roberto Firmino has missed a penalty.

But Craig Pawson has been involved in everything so far...

This is one of the most extraordinary halves of football I've seen in a long, long time, for a vast number of reasons.

Tom Ellmers: Big fan of VAR. Can accept losing if another team are better but not via an incorrect decision.

Matthew Bingham: VAR is a joke. Welcome to the end of football and I'm a Liverpool fan.

So there's a bit of debate about VAR then?

This time VAR works in West Brom's favour!

The ball is fired across the box and despite concerns of off-side, it's Joel Matip who gets the final touch as the ball crosses the line.

I'm just waiting to see if the referee's going to check if it's offside or not. And he's absolutely right to check it - because it's very close.

If Virgil van Dijk does have a weakness, it's that he's too casual on the ball, too languid. He's a great player, but he just looks a bit too relaxed on the ball at times.

And Salah almost does score.

He shows his blistering pace as he drives at the West Brom defence, beating them all, before shooting just wide of Foster's left-hand post.

We're going to have four minutes of stoppage time now.

The hosts are still pressing with intensity and West Brom have barely been able to get out of their half.

It feels like it's more a matter of when, not if, Liverpool will score.

Alan Pardew is fuming here - if he gets anymore injuries - there won't be any options to change it up tactically later in the game. And you've got to think, away at Anfield, he's going to want to alter his side at some stage.

With Hal Robson-Kanu and Kieran Gibbs both going off with injuries in the last 10 minutes, it's not the end to the half Alan Pardew would have hoped for.

However, his side are in the lead - just - thanks to that penalty miss from Roberto Firmino.

I agree with Craig on that - the supporters at Anfield must be wondering what's going on. There's been so much drama already in this match and we haven't even reached half-time!

Both teams are trying to get the ball down now and enjoy some possession.

Anon: I take it the critics of VAR are West Brom fans?

Chris: I'm no Liverpool fan but if you were how would you feel if it had been 3-1 against your team, thanks to an offside goal, and then had a clear penalty disallowed?

Craig: We want correct decisions, I have seen some which are marginal. We have to get the ref mic'ed up so he can speak to the crowd about why said decision has been made. Tonight has been comical.

Even the defenders are having a go!

Joel Matip is just left to sprint through the middle and he almost goes the full length of the pitch before he passes it into the feet of Sadio Mane.

The centre-back then gets the ball back, offloads it to young Trent Alexander-Arnold and the full-back fires one at Ben Foster.

It's a comfortable save for the West Brom keeper and he kicks the ball out so Hegazi can come on while Robson-Kanu receives treatment.

It's all Liverpool at the moment. They have had several opportunities to put the ball into the box but it's West Brom who have the lead.

Kieran Gibbs is down clutching his hamstring though...

It looks like he may be forced off and Ahmed Hegazi is getting ready to come on.
