Rob Allpress: What's going on? I go out to the kitchen to wash up one plate, and miss two goals...

Andrew Ogley: Can't Liverpool just play Man City again...

  2. 'Can is at fault for that goal'published at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-2 West Brom

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm watching the right game here. Because if Man City had scored this goal - we'd have been salivating. Jay Rodriguez is finding all sorts of space in between the lines - right where Emre Can should be - Can is at fault for that goal.

  3. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-2 West Brompublished at 11 mins

    Jay Rodriguez

    Two goals in four minutes!

This one was much less spectacular though. A ball is fired across the box and Rodriguez gets on the end of it - leaving Mignolet no chance from three yards out.

ARahman: Catastrophic defending. Terrific finish from Firmino. Soft defending. Rodriguez with a stunning finish. Yes ,we are watching a Liverpool game again.

Jay: Liverpool sure know how to entertain neutrals.

  5. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 West Brom

Firmino plays in Salah on the right.

The Egyptian is in space and he has time to lift his head up and pick out Mane - who had made a great run into the box.

It's slightly behind him and Mane can't quite reach it.

  6. 'The whole Liverpool defence has gone to sleep'published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

    Liverpool 1-1 West Brom

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live at Anfield

I thought Jonny Evans had gone to sleep - the whole Liverpool defence has gone to sleep there! It was a bright start to the game - but what about this! Jay Rodriguez has absolutely leathered that into the top corner.

  7. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-1 West Brompublished at 7 mins

    Jay Rodriguez

    What a strike!

Rodriguez is given far too much space and he drives through the middle, out-pacing the Liverpool defence and fires an unstoppable strike past Simon Mignolet.

    Talk about a quick start...

  8. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-0 West Brompublished at 6 mins

    Roberto Firmino

It's a mistake from Jonny Evans.

The West Brom centre-back leaves the ball for Ben Foster but Mo Salah is quick to chase it down.

Foster panics and Firmino picks up the rebound, chipping it into the empty net.

  9. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 West Brom

Liverpool enjoying some early possession but West Brom look nice and compact at the back.

Salah and Mane have both been stopped in their tracks so far.

  10. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 West Brom

Georginio Wijnaldum drives forward from midfield and lays it off to Roberto Firmino on the edge of the box.

The Brazilian's shot is blocked and from the rebound Sadio Mane has another attempt - but that's blocked too!

West Brom manager Alan Pardew: "We take less pressure into this game. It's a cup game with no league points on offer.

"We will go to Liverpool and try and cause them problems."

  19. Lawro's predictionpublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2018

Liverpool v West Brom (19:45 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
BBC football expert on BBC Radio 5 live

"As I have said before, I think the FA Cup is important to Liverpool this season - or at least it should be.

"In contrast, I would not have thought that West Brom boss Alan Pardew will mind too much if his side go out of the FA Cup, because his brief was to keep the Baggies in the top flight."

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0
