Noel Fitzpatrick: Hazard will be getting all the plaudits, but the purists will be salivating at that Azpilicueta performance!

Tommy Ross: West Brom are down. Can't score, can't defend and their midfield gets overrun by every other squad.

Stamford Bridge has emptied with more speed than the entire West Brom squad possesses.

Chelsea's 'Blue is the Colour' tune is still playing and all we can see is blue seats.

Very much a night not worth hanging around for. Job done, not much to see.

To the tube comrades, to the tube.

A weary trudge of the West Brom players as they applaud their fans. Disconsolate.

West Brom creep closer to the drop. Chelsea answer plenty of questions.

Patience from Chelsea as they keep the ball in the West Brom half. They go backwards, not to the pleasure of everyone at the Bridge.

Our friends from Opta tell us that Eden Hazard has played five key passes tonight. The best mark on the pitch. Not bad when you've found the net twice too.

Willian strides into the area down the left, all that remains is for Eden Hazard to get his third. Willian's cut-back is behind the hero of the hour though.

Awais: So Chelsea will be level on points if they beat Man Utd in their next fixture. But we have Conte here, who is predicted to get the sack any minute while Mourinho enjoys the luxuries of a new contract.

This was a big game for both sides but Chelsea needed to respond. It's been a good performance, they started tentatively. They have a match winner in Eden Hazard who can do something different.

Chelsea have a corner. Cesar Azpilicueta wants action against Ahmed Hegazi who seems to have tangled in the area and left a bit on his man. Nothing doing.

Chelsea keep the ball in the West Brom half. This game is easing down like a tired parent at the end of Christmas Day.

I've been impressed with Antonio Rudiger tonight at the heart of Chelsea's defence. Not so much his defending as there have been moments of promise for the away side, so it's not as if he's guided an impenetrable back line.

What he has done though is start attacks repeatedly. He's stepped out with the ball a lot and has generally looked very busy and keen to get the ball moving. He's completed 91% of passes so he's been careful with the ball too.

Alvaro Morata has looked lively since coming on. He's tangling with Craig Dawson and concedes a free-kick. West Brom look cooked now. They don't know whether to construct attacks or send it long and hope.

    Chelsea 3-0 West Brom

West Brom's midfield now looks a little tired. There's less and less pressure on Cesc Fabregas and N'Golo Kante. The away side covered the yards well in the first half but now there are spaces to pierce for Chelsea.

Willian is coming on for Pedro. Pedro was the second-busiest Chelsea player with 63 touches - makes stuff happen.

Fabregas tops that list by the way.

Alvaro Morata sends a dipping, curling effort at goal from 30 yards. Lovely hit, fine double-handed save by Ben Foster.

Good stuff everyone. More of that please.

    Cesar Azpilicueta is some player.

He's in the six-yard box to again make a goal-saving interception after Matt Phillips plays a fine cross into the mixer.

if you're just joining us, Azpilicueta made a similar intervention shortly after half-time with the score at 1-0.

West Brom will look at that period and rue those missed chances from Salomon Rondon and Jonny Evans.

It's a good link up with Alvaro Morata. I think Ben Foster gambles and leaves a big gap at his near post. I don't think a keeper should be beaten that easily at his near post and a player of Eden Hazard's quality isn't going to miss.
