  1. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 3-0 West Brompublished at 71 mins

    Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is on the ball on the angle of the area. He wants to get on his left foot so he can shoot and he does. He comes inside, leaving Jonny Evans chasing and then unleashes a shot past Ben Foster at the near post.

Foster is rooted. Hazard has been sublime. It's like he's playing in third gear and yet he still does exactly what he wants.

For the fantasy football fans among you who have Cesc Fabregas in your team... bad luck.

Forget VAR, this is the only review that matters.

  3. CLOSE!published at 69 mins

    Chelsea 2-0 West Brom

Victor Moses feels good about life. He attacks the right flank and cuts in onto his left peg to take a swing from 18 yards - saved by the legs of Ben Foster.

    Chelsea 2-0 West Brom

Our friends from Opta tell us that Chelsea’s last 26 Premier League goals in this fixture have been scored from inside the area.

With that in mind, the next time West Brom play Chelsea, if I'm Alan Pardew I'm telling my boys to simply line up on the edge of the box and make them shoot from range.

That said, it could be a few seasons until West Brom face Chelsea again.

Can they land a blow tonight?

West Brom - you didn't take your chances and you've bee punished.

I think Cesc Fabregas is trying to find Alvaro Morata but it deflects and Victor Moses makes sure he gets his left hip up nice and high over the ball to finish.

If your Alan Pardew what are you thinking?

    Victor Moses

West Brom punished. Miss your chances and you get done.

Victor Moses is on the ball wide right and comes inside. He plays the ball into Cesc Fabregas who tries a clever flick to Alvaro Morata on the edge of the box but the ball simply deflects into the path of Moses who is presented with the sight of goal. First-time, he gets over the ball and Ben Foster can do nothing.

Game over. Turn out the lights. Get yourselves an early seat on the tube.

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

Alvaro Morata's first contribution is to win a corner with a deflected shot.

Will that substitution kill the West Brom momentum a little. What chances they have just had. As the Premier League's bottom club, you have to make them count.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

Alvaro Morata is coming on for Olivier Giroud who will have a few bruises tomorrow. A few claps for the home fans from Giroud.

Morata was a doubt last week. At one point Antonio Conte said he did not know when Morata would return from a back problem. He's not played since 17 January.

    A quick recovery.

You felt Andreas Christensen had to be stronger. He dwelt on the ball for too long. But it's another big chance for West Brom and they have to take those.

And then Jonny Evans has to hit the target with his header - if he does he scores.

  11. CLOSE!published at 58 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

From the corner that follows the Salomon Rondon chance another golden opportunity but Jonny Evans guides his free header over the bar. He had the run, he had the momentum and was attacking it sweetly but got too much on it.

They should be level. Alan Pardew is having kittens on the touchline.

  12. CLOSE!published at 57 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

Big chance for West Brom and this shows the vulnerability of a one-goal lead.

It's a hopeful, nothing ball over the top and Andreas Christensen gets himself into all sorts of trouble as he doesn't make a decision. He's robbed by Salomon Rondon who is through on goal.

Out rushes Thibaut Courtois and Rondon slams it under him and into the side netting. Courtois must have got a nick as it's a corner.

    What a chance.

Victor Moses with the kind of decision making to infuriate as he attacks the box from the right and smashes a ball over the bar. Was it a cross or a shot? Who knows. What we do know is it was rubbish.

Replays of that Cesar Azpilicueta tackle in his six-yard box show it was critical.

Oliver Burke - he left Davide Zappacosta with real pace and it was a good ball across the six-yard line. That's the threat Oliver Burke possesses.

  16. CLOSE!published at 52 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

West Brom put some pressure on down the right flank and Oliver Burke powerfully gets to the dead-ball line before firing a low ball across the six-yard box. Salomon Rondon wants a piece of it but Cesar Azpilicueta is in there to slide and hook away. Good stuff.

The away side have favoured that right flank all night, as the image shows.

These were a great font three to watch were they not. The magic of Zola, the leggy legs of Flo and the Italian swagger of Vialli. Wouldn't mind seeing them out there now.

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

A silly foul from Gibbs. He now puts himself under pressure. He's had a good battle with Moses and now Moses will get the ball and drive at him to put him under pressure.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 48 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

Kieran Gibbs, through the back of Victor Moses, much like the Jonny Evans booking for his foul on Olivier Giroud before the break.

    No doubt about that one.

    Chelsea 1-0 West Brom

In that first half, Cesc Fabregas was the busiest man on the pitch with 54 touches. He offered a nice continuity too as he completed 91% of his passes.

Oddly, the ever-willing N'Golo Kante is one of the quietest players out there with just 25 touches - a low in the Chelsea team.

Chelsea come out and press the play into the West Brom half again. The pattern continues.
