One goal is protected from the light by the shadow cast by the stadium, but one keeper is going to have the sun in their eyes for the first 45 minutes.

Stuie Neale: Afternoon Gary I'm presuming it’s you as u mentioned Swindon lol. I predicted 0-0 for this one.

I was in the live text commentary hotseat for Wigan's win against Manchester City and Ostersunds FK's win at Arsenal this week. Keep up that form then this should be anything but a dull draw!

  9. 'The way Rooney's matured has been most impressive'published at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Football Focus

It's how mature he is now. That happens in general in life but it's the pressure and scrutiny he's been under for such a long time.

It was a buzz for me when I walked in the door at Everton - everybody was talking about him. David Moyes mentioned to me, 'wait until you see this lad in training'. You've seen his quality, the calibre of goals he has scored but the way he's matured has been the most impressive thing about him.

You could see him perhaps progressing into a coaching capacity. Who's to say he couldn't manage Everton in the future.

What Stoke would give for their usual freedom to play at this stage of the season, a situation their opponents find themselves in.

The team that has never finished lower than 14th in the Premier League begin the weekend two points from safety. Paul Lambert's arrival has lifted spirits and has provided five points from 12, a tally he feels should be more.

The size of the task is still staring him in the face though, particularly as only six away points have been recorded all season - the worst record in any of the top four divisions.

The King Power Stadium is not one where that will change easily, where Leicester have only lost twice under Claude Puel.

Whilst Liverpool have mainly trained in Spain during their gap between games, West Ham have stayed at their Rush Green training HQ.

    Marbella or east London….hmm?

Not that you can question David Moyes' decisions for West Ham so far. He's not only tightened things defensively, but they're flowing up front too. It's no coincidence that their little wobble at the turn of last month came whilst in-form Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini were missing.

Nobody has gone missing, figuratively or actually, for Liverpool since their own end of January blip.

They're flying, they're firing, and most will expect them to win and be second on Saturday night. Most - but certainly not Moyes. I reckon he'll fancy this.
