It's a chance of a first trophy for Pep Guardiola at Man City, the first is special for any manager.

And I think there will be an extra dimension to the game given he was charged for wearing that political symbol, and I've seen a few fans wearing it in support of their manager.

If it wasn't for Claudio Bravo, Man City wouldn't be in the final, making penalty heroics in two of the earlier rounds. So, as a manager if you've given him your word he's going to be your cup goalkeeper, you have to stick with him.

After Man City lost in the FA Cup to Wigan and Arsenal lost their Europa League second leg to Ostersund, I think they both desperately need to win this final.

But City's focus is not this cup, it's the Champions League. They've already won the Premier League and FA Cup before. This won't decide their season.

If they finish with just the Premier League, a lot of people will be disappointed.

This might be it for Arsenal.

The season's first piece of silverware is up for grabs this afternoon with Arsenal and Manchester City meeting in a major final for the first time.

The Gunners, though, have lost in a League Cup final five times, more than any other side, while Manchester City have won four of the five finals they have been in.

    It's red v blue, it's north v south.

    Pumped?
