Archie: What. A. Start. Great football for the neutral already.

Michael: Isn't Aubameyang meant to be one of the best finishers in Europe? Should be 1-0 Arsenal!

  5. 'You have to score those'published at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal have got to score. Chances like that you have got to take. It just comes from a simple ball over the top for Jack Wilshere to run onto. When it gets to Aubameyang he looks offside anyway, but what a tackle from Kyle Walker to put him off.

  6. CLOSE!published at 9 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Manchester City break to the other end and Sergio Aguero slices an effort into the sidenetting.

End-to-end stuff in the opening 10 minutes at Wembley.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 8 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

First attack and Arsenal should be ahead!

Jack Wilshere breaks forward and then Aaron Ramsey follows up by poking a pass through to Mesut Ozil.

The German, calmness personified, picks out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the far post, but the striker's scuffed shot from inside the six-yard box is brilliantly kept out by a sprawling Claudio Bravo.

Kyle Walker did well to put the pressure on Aubameyang though.

  8. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Arsenal are looking very uncomfortable at the back already and Sergio Aguero manages to wriggle past two or three Gunners defenders, but his low shot is diverted away from goal.

Arsene Wenger's side yet to get into this final.

  9. Aubameyang too deeppublished at 16:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has got to stay high. He's coming deep to get the ball and when Arsenal win the ball back, he is too deep. There is plenty of room on the sides for him.

Michael: Aubameyang must be excited about running in behind those centre backs. His 100m time must literally be twice as fast as Kompany's

Ikenna: If Wigan can, Arsenal should. Go Gunners

  11. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Manchester City full-back Kyle Walker, once of Tottenham, being jeered by the Arsenal fans when he gets his foot on the ball down that right-hand side.

    Fans never forget.

  12. 'It can be hard'published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

In cup finals, as a player early on you want to get on the ball, get a feel and start playing your normal game.

It's hard. The amount of times you set two teams up and think it's going to be a classic and it isn't, but I'm expecting good things today.

Mark: 5 defenders for Arsenal? Chambers to sweep in front of the back four?

Edwin: I have the feeling Carabao Cup might be elusive trophy Wenger finally gets on his hands today before he proceeds to retirement.

  14. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Man City

Manchester City forcing the pressure early on, earning a couple of quick corners.

Leroy Sane, who has been on top form this season, sees a ball fall to his favoured left boot in the box, but his effort is blocked by a red and white shirt.

  18. Aubameyang pace a threatpublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

Arsenal v Man City (16:30 GMT)

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

The two centre halves of Manchester City might struggle with pace and movement of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

For Arsenal and their defenders, it’s about stopping Sergio Aguero. But also stopping Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva from running the game. They need to pressure them and force them to pass backwards.

If Arsenal want to play an open game, City will run away with it.

  20. First time for VARpublished at 16:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

Arsenal v Man City (16:30 GMT)

This is English football's first major final which will see the use of a video assistant referee (VAR).

The use of an off-field official to help make decisions for the first time has produced mixed feedback so far.

Remember that 'squiggly line' for Juan Mata's offside goal? Hawk-Eye, the provider of VAR pictures, had to apologise for that.

Ex-Premier League referee Chris Foy told BBC Radio 5 live there have been "teething problems" and the process needs to be speeded up.

Let's see how long it takes today...if we see it in action.
