  1. CLOSE!published at 55 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal have been pegged back in their own half...but then a long ball forward from Hector Bellerin sets Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang through.

There is big confusion between Kyle Walker and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who has sprinted miles off his lines and then takes an airshot.

    Goodness me.

The ball, though, does not drop kindly for Aubameyang and is flagged for a foul.

Bravo does not fill you with an confidence at all.

  2. 'No joy for Arsenal'published at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

City have started very brightly, Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva are getting on the ball, which didn’t see too much in the first half.

For Arsenal, Arsene Wenger will likely give it another 15 minutes before maybe taking off Granit Xhaka for Danny Welbeck, putting Ramsey alongside Wilshere and have Mesut Ozil floating, because at the moment they are not getting any joy whatsoever.

Hamza Derby: Why isn't Wenger brave enough to play Lacazette and Aubameyang. Imagine if Klopp only played one of Salah, Mane & Firmino. They're sixth in the league, losing in the cup final, and together they cost over £100 million!

Jon Hare: Wilshere is so infuriating. One minute you are hoping he can do that for England at the World Cup, the next you are just wishing he would get up.

Dave Barker: Such a low quality first half. If this was West Brom vs Stoke the game would be getting hammered. City are only in second gear, but Arsenal are so, so poor.

Sanket: The Arsenal team need a special forces boot-camp. Utter lack of self belief and 'cojones'.

  7. Postpublished at 49 mins

City on top in the second half, the Arsenal players looks like they are still digesting their sarnies.

They need to wake up because Pep Guardiola's side are sniffing a second.

As an Arsenal fan it's embarrassing the players and manager moaning about the goal, they should be tearing Mustafa to shreds - Adams and Keown would have done...

Kevin de Bruyne's free-kick into the box is flicked away by Granit Xhaka.

City recycle the ball and it falls to skipper Vincent Kompany on the edge of the box, but his low shot is blocked by Laurent Koscielny and drops inches wide of the goal.

  10. 'Arsenal need to use the ball better'published at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Teddy Sheringham
Former Millwall and Tottenham striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal need to start passing the ball to each other, Man City don't have any ball winners that should trouble them, so Arsenal just need to get it down and knock it around.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 47 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers booked immediately after the restart for a tug on Sergio Aguero, who was threatening to run clear.

  12. Wenger complaints fall on deaf earspublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was clearly unhappy with the build up to Sergio Aguero's goal and the light as a feather contact with Shkodran Mustafi.

The pleas were rightly ignored as he should be saving the harsh words for his defender - Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany showing Mustafi how it's done with an imperious dismissal of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It has not been a game of the highest quality but some of Arsenal's defending looks ready made for this Manchester City attack.

  16. 'Arsenal can't get on the ball'published at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Ian Wright
Former Arsenal & England striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal just can't seem to get on the ball, they need to start imposing themselves on Man City, otherwise it's going to be uncomfortable for them.

Shkodran Mustafi didn't get himself in the right position for the goal, and the nudge, he's got to be stronger, but he lost it with his starting position.

  19. 'Not a lot between the teams'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

It’s been a very disappointing, scrappy game. The goal sums it up. A 70, 80 yard punt from the goalkeeper, Shkodran Mustafi thinks he’s been fouled but should play on.

Good finish from Sergio Aguero, but both teams have got to improve. Not a lot between them, just their passing has been awful.
