    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Danilo wins the ball back for Manchester City in the middle of the park, but then the attempted pass through to Sergio Aguero is cut out.

Had it pierced the Arsenal backline, City may well have doubled their advantage.

  2. 'It's been a very disappointing game'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Teddy Sheringham
Former Millwall and Tottenham striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It's been a very disappointing game. Neither side has been able to string five passes together, and for Arsenal to get back into it they need to be more composed on the ball, which is strange to say about Arsenal.

  3. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Kevin de Bruyne has a free-kick 30 yards out, can City get a second goal?

    No.

The Belgian's delivery is poor, sailing straight out for a goal kick.

  4. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

City winger Leroy Sane getting lots of joy down the left, the German loving live up against Hector Bellerin.

Sane makes his way into the box, but his cross is plucked out of the air by David Ospina.

Billy: Kompany outpacing Aubameyang. You wouldn't think so but he has. Well done Vincent.

Luke: Walker not getting the credit he deserves this game. Foot to stop a tap in by Aubameyang (Bravo saved an OG) then a great foot to block Wilshere's volley.

  6. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Fernandinho, already on a yellow, makes another late challenge on Jack Wilshere.

The Arsenal players surround referee Craig Pawson, but the Brazilian gets away with this one.

    Should he have been off??

I think he is lucky to stay on because had he not been on a yellow, he would surely have got one.

Ben Davies: Aubameyang is just too lazy, he doesn’t try to win the ball back and just lets Man City play.

Michael: Would it actually kill these Arsenal players to work hard... Mustafi showing why Arsenal had turned into a very lazy football club... The same lazy attitude made players like van Persie and Sanchez question their teams' mentality in the past.

Vivek: It will be better for Arsenal if Wilshere spends more time on his legs than on his back!

  8. CLOSE!published at 40 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Manchester City close to a second.

Sergio Aguero evades Shkodran Mustafi too easily once again and the Argentine drifts into the box.

He chips the ball towards the far post which is cleared off the line by Laurent Koscielny and Kevin de Bruyne smashes the follow-up into the sidenetting.

A few inside Wembley thought that was in. Sit down.

  9. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal are getting lots of free-kicks in the corridor between 35 and 40 yards, but they are not making best use of them.

Mesut Ozil has tried the long and short approach but neither has come off.

Go straight for goal next time?

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 37 mins

  11. 'Arsenal don't have a system to win the ball back'published at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Teddy Sheringham
Former Millwall and Tottenham striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I'm not sure what Arsenal can do as such now, both teams can obviously play, they're both outstanding footballing teams. But it seems to me, when Arsenal are trying to win the ball back they don't have a system, whereas when Man City try to get it back they all work as one.

  12. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal do manage to get the ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who looks like he is through on goal.

But Vincent Kompany shows good pace to track back and dispossess the Gunners striker.

Lifa Nati: You have to give it to Guardiola. He's outsmarting Wenger. They have gone route one and you never expect that from a Guardiola team. It's not about out-passing the opponent but scoring the goal that matters especially in a cup final.

Neil Moriarty: On that on incident alone, I would be looking to sell Mustafi in the summer.

  14. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal need somehow to get the ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he is isolated up top at the moment.

At the other end, Sergio Aguero's flicked header from the front post sails over the bar.

Abhie: With that quality I doubt Mustafi is even German. They are usually good footballers.

Allan: This is going to be a giant score if Arsenal don't sort their defence out!

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 32 mins

This is a nasty one. Aaron Ramsey mis-times his challenge and ends up catching David Silva on the arms with his studs.

    A caution for the Welshman.

  18. Aubameyang chasing lost causespublished at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Aubameyang wants the ball threaded through. You see with many of the goals he scores he spins off people. At the minute he's only getting long balls and he's had to chance lost causes.

Mesut Ozil you would think should be threading those passes but he's not getting on the ball. Aubameyang is getting no service.

Joe: With Monreal off injured, how will we score? He's our biggest goal threat!!

Will: Both these teams should come with health warnings. Do not support if you have heart problem. Never the easy way with either of these two.

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal are getting some joy when they get the ball forward.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays the ball on to Jack Wilshere on the edge of the box, but the Englishman volleys wildly over the crossbar.
