Callum: Ok Arsene, now go in big for Evans and keep Giroud. Thanks, everyone.

Rob: Wenger will probably put him in goal.

Mac: As an Arsenal fan, it doesn't matter who we buy. If Wenger is still at the helm, we are doomed - if he trained a fish, it would drown.

John Hill: No Champions League, no prospect of winning anything, how do Arsenal do it?

So, very little to report this morning, don't know where we would be without your gif contributions.

The biggest news of the morning saw an agreement reached for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi to join Borussia Dortmund on loan.

We are still waiting on Arsenal's signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Chelsea bringing in Olivier Giroud.

The Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City chat has gone cold too, no update on that so far.

    Owen Phillips
    BBC Sport Online

There could a fair bit of movement in the East Midlands today. As well as the "will he, won't he” Riyad Mahrez shenanigans at Leicester City, Nottingham Forest are likely to be busy.

They signed centre-half Tobias Figueiredo last night and are still trying to fend off interest from Burnley for popular defender Joe Worrall, having already rejected a deal totalling around £12m.

A goalkeeper is still believed to be very much on the agenda, with giant Watford man Costel Pantilimon, once of Manchester City, being strongly linked.

And could former Fulham striker Ashkan Dejagah be another new City Ground, external arrival?

Down the A52, Derby are pretty top heavy up front but would still be keen to bring in another attacker if Johnny Russell departs.

  17. Swansea want a striker!published at 10:50 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    Dafydd Pritchard
    BBC Sport Wales

Swansea City are still hopeful of signing former forward Andre Ayew from West Ham and winger Lazar Markovic from Liverpool.

The Swans might have to break their transfer record to re-sign Ayew, having had a bid of £14m rejected by the Hammers, who want something closer to the £20m they paid for him in 2016.

Swansea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has ruled out moving to West Ham as part of the deal.

As for Markovic, the Swans would like to sign the Serb on loan but Liverpool would prefer to sell him permanently.

One player who will not be joining the Welsh club is Everton striker Sandro. There had been interest but the Spaniard has opted to join Sevilla on loan.

  18. Ki staying at Swansea?published at 10:48 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    Swansea City

Some news from south Wales now - Ki Sung-yueng has told Swansea he does not want to leave the club in the January transfer window and is determined to help them stay in the Premier League.

The South Korea midfielder, 29, is wanted by West Ham as part of a deal that could bring Ghana forward Andre Ayew back to the Liberty Stadium.

But Swansea are reluctant for Ki to leave, as is the player himself.

"If Swansea want me to stay, I want to stay in the team so I can help stay in the Premier League," Ki said.

"That's my target and my decision.

  19. 'Puel the best signing of all'published at 10:45 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2018

    Leicester City

You could say the best transfer Leicester made this year was outside the window when we brought in Claude Puel as manager. Craig Shakespeare’s replacement has transformed a team struggling to stay outside the relegation zone into serious European contenders.

Adrien Silva looks a mainstay and Fousseni Diabate, a £2m buy from the French leagues (ala Kante and Mahrez) made an impressive debut in the Cup against Peterborough.

    Claude PuelImage source, Getty Images

With long term servant Andy King and record buy Islam Slimani being linked with moves away and Puel’s liking for young academy players being given a chance looks like our window may see more go out than come in.The one player that I would like to see arrive is Micheal Keane from Everton who seems surplus to requirements .
