  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 88 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

It just won't sit down for Preston every time they look half threatening in the Derby half.

Derby scramble clear once again and then Tom Lawrence forces a foul out of Darnell Fisher for a free-kick on halfway.

That's Lawrence's last act in the game as he makes way for Jamie Hanson.

Looks like his free-kick will prove the difference.

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Nice driving run from Billy Bodin for Preston eventually finds him space for a left-foot shot.

The substitute takes aim and Scott Carson does enough to hold on to the shot as it nearly swerves away.

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Again another big chance for a Preston equaliser.

Scott Carson's attempted punch gets hardly any distance. It falls to Paul Gallagher on the half volley, but he can't hit the target.

  5. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

The corner comes to nothing but again Derby are forcing Preston back inside their own half.

Tom Lawrence nearly gets on the end of a nice one-two with Kasey Palmer but Chris Maxwell is off his line to snuff it out.

  6. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Derby force a corner as Preston struggle to clear their lines.

Looking like a clinical display this so far for Gary Rowett's side.

  7. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Kasey Palmer nearly wraps up the game for Derby as he hustles down the Preston defence on the break.

The Chelsea loanee finds space for the shot inside the box but his drilled effort goes wide of the left post.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Last change for Preston sees Daniel Johnson on for Callum Robinson.

Robinson had a bright first half but has seen little of the ball in this second 45.

  9. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Preston won't threaten with tame efforts like that one form Louis Moult.

The forward takes a bit of a snap shot at it on the edge of the box with his right foot, but it spins harmlessly wide of Scott Carson's goal.

Last 15 minutes of the 90 at Deepdale.

More goals to come or are Derby going to close this one out for a much-needed win?

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Second change for Preston as Billy Bodin comes on for Tom Barkhuizen.

Derby also make a change as Kasey Palmer replaces Matej Vydra.

Sam Mawer: Danny Cowley at Lincoln is working miracles but everyone seems to have forgotten since the cup run

Ewan W: It's got to be Neil Warnock. He’s done really well with Cardiff so far this season and he’d be able to beat Mourinho... in a battle of the quotes!

  13. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Big missed chance for a Preston equaliser.

Another decent free-kick fizzed in from Paul Gallagher. Derby don't fully get it clear and the ball falls to Paul Huntington on the edge of the area.

But, his attempt on the half-volley goes a long way over the crossbar and into the stand.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 68 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

David Nugent goes into the book as he puts a late, slightly over-enthusiastic challenge in on Ben Davies as he tries to close down the Preston centre-back inside his own box.

A couple of cheeky grins form the former Preston man as he picks that one up.

  15. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Ironic cheers from the Preston fans as they do get awarded a corner this time but once again the delivery lets Alex Neil's side down.

    Preston 0-1 Derby

David Nugent comes within inches of doubling Derby's lead against his former side.

Andi Weimann swings in a teasing cross from the right but Nugent's right leg isn't quite long enough to make contact with that on the volley.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Alan Browne makes way for Louis Moult up front for Preston.

Not an afternoon Browne will want to remember that much if it stays as it is after his first-half penalty miss.

  18. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Preston are struggling a touch to find any sort of rhythm following that Derby goal.

So far, it looks like Gary Rowett's decision to make five changes to his Derby starting XI might be paying off.

Mikey: Definitely Paul Hurst, been promoted with every club he's been with prior to Shrewsbury and now working miracles at the top of league one with them

Bonmahon Beach: Neil Harris with Millwall. Enough said.

    Preston 0-1 Derby

Preston unhappy as they don't get awarded an obvious corner when the ball last touched Curtis Davies.

Big test of character this for the home side after they missed a golden chance to take the lead in the first half through Alan Browne's penalty.
