  1. Team news is outpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 2 April 2018

A host of games coming up from 15:00 BST across the EFL and teamsheets will be getting published as I type.

We'll bring you the headlines from those games one we're done here at Deepdale.

    Preston 0-1 Derby

I think Tom Lawrence might enjoy playing at Deepdale.

While on loan at Ipswich last season, he scored a pretty impressive solo strike against the Lillywhites. Today, he's shown how deadly he can be from set pieces.

What do Preston have as a response now?

  3. goal

Preston 0-1 Derbypublished at 53 mins

    Tom Lawrence

    Pick that strike out!

Derby break the deadlock and Tom Lawrence fires in an unstoppable free-kick that gives them the lead.

Slight deflection off a Preston player as Lawrence drilled it past the wall and although Chris Maxwell did dive low to his left and got fingertips on it, the ball had too much pace to be kept out.

  4. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Still lacking a bit of a spark this game as both sides cancel each other out.

Tom Barkhuizen clumsily gives a free-kick away on the edge of his own area as he clatters into David Nugent from behind.

  5. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Derby force the first corner of the second half but there's a delay as the referee has a word with both sets of players for tugging on the shirts.

Chris Maxwell punches away Joe Ledley's hanging delivery.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

And we're back under way in this meeting of two Championship play-off hopefuls.

Remember a win for Preston takes them into the top six and above Derby.

  7. Postpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 2 April 2018

Right - not long to go until we resume at Deepdale.

Hopefully there's goals to come in this one to get our big day of action off to a good start.

Alex Rose: I think Mick McCarthy should head back to the Premier League. After all he is a free agent come end of the season.

Phillippa: I think Lee Johnson deserves a chance in the Premier League. He showed what he can do by beating 4 teams in the EFL Cup & pushed Man City all the way in the semi-finals.

This is just the starter of a feast of Easter Monday football across the EFL.

We've got action across all three divisions to come from 15:00 BST with 23 fixtures kicking-off and some mouth-watering match-ups from the top of the Championship right down to the bottom of League Two.

Stick right here and you won't miss a twist and turn in the afternoon's events.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 2 April 2018

    Preston 0-0 Derby

    Alan BrowneImage source, PA

And that is half-time at Deepdale.

Goalless, but it could've been a different story had Alan Browne's penalty for Preston gone the right side of the post.

  11. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Just the one minute being added on at the end of this first half.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 43 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Preston midfielder Ben Pearson is first in the referee's notebook this afternoon for a late challenge on David Nugent.

That's his 14th booking of the season quite extraordinarily.

  13. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Preston still pressing Derby despite that penalty miss from Alan Browne.

Derby losing a bit of patience in their own half as they give away a couple of needless free-kicks.

Callum Robinson again works some space on the edge of the Derby area but his low drilled shot goes wide of the right post.

Rachel Armitage: Seems a bit obvious, but Nuno will be a brilliant Premier League manager, he’s worked nothing short of miracles this season!

  15. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Well, that's livened things up a touch.

Still goalless though as we head towards half-time.

  16. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 37 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

It's Alan Browne who steps up and takes it after he was adjudged to have been fouled.

He sends Scott Carson the wrong way, but the ball hits the outside of the post and goes behind.

Huge missed chance for the hosts.

  17. PENALTY TO PRESTONpublished at 36 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

It seems a harsh decision against Andre Wisdom, but as Alan Browne goes to ground under pressure the referee awards the spot kick!.

  18. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

    Close for Preston!

Decent cross in from the left on to Callum Robinson's head, but his effort from the penalty spot creeps just wide of the right post.

Had Scott Carson worried for a second though as he dived full stretch towards it.

Stuart Murphy: Jokanovic & Fulham. I’m slightly biased, but the type football played is a joy to watch & would not be out of place in PL

Roger Baker: Michael Appleton is assistant at a Premier League side now but did a great job at OUFC and deserves his chance at the helm at a higher level.

  20. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Paul Gallagher tries to catch Derby out with a quickly taken free-kick on halfway, but Chris Baird is wise to it and clears the ball away ahead of the advancing Callum Robinson.

Once again a Preston corner comes to nothing as the Rams clear the danger.
