It's an interesting game. For the first 20 minutes, apart from one or two moments for Chelsea to be enthused about, Barcelona dominated but didn’t test Courtois at all.

After half an hour though Chelsea have been the better team, with Willian the pick of the bunch by virtue of hitting the post twice.

There is lots for Conte to be pleased about.

    Chelsea 0-0 Barcelona

An absorbing half - no goals, but played at the speed of a sharpshooter with chances for both sides.

Chelsea have had the best of them though with Willian twice rattling the frame of the goal from distance.

Willian is so desperately unlucky again not to score. You can look at the numbers, Barcelona dominating of course. But Chelsea have gone closer - twice within the width of the post of scoring.

Newms: Seems like the tactical battle is paying off slightly for Chelsea here. Far less possession but I know which keeper has sweatier palms.

Michael Reid: I'll probably jinx it... But has anyone seem Messi in this game? Are Barcelona going to bring him on at half time?

Willians is knocking on the door and the frame of the goal.

The Chelsea midfield unleashes from 20 yards - another wicked effort - only to be denied by the post for a second time.

    How close can you get?

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is perpetual motion in his technical area - orchestrating almost every move from his players.

And while Barcelona are enjoying possession there is real encouragement for Chelsea.

Eden Hazard and Willian have been a real threat, the latter so unlucky with that shot against the post.

Stamford Bridge was subdued for the visit of West Brom last week. This is a different occasion altogether - a crackling atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge.

Oliver Cook: Chelsea keep playing long high balls forgetting Giroud is not on the pitch. Hazard, Pedro and Willian need it to their feet.

Anthony David Pletin: All this talk of Hazard but I rate Willian more. A lot more consistent, always turns up, willing to put in a shift. Class player and very underrated.

This is a high-quality football match.

Everyone on the pitch operating at warp speed in thought and deed. Victor Moses has to be alive to knock the ball behind as Jordi Alba threatens to get beyond him and to the byeline.

Barcelona are having to chase and scramble out of possession, using up energy and effort that could be put to use unpicking the lock on the hosts' goal.

Willian dances past Sergio Busquets on the edge of the area, leaving the Barca anchorman choking on fumes.

That has got the atmosphere bubbling.

Brilliant from Willian. He was surrounded by Barcelona shirts but wriggled out a cul de sac and bursts past three of them, and Rakitic just can’t keep up.

Willian frightened Barcelona. If he turns and runs at people, they will be in trouble.
