I take everything Jose Mourinho says with a pinch of salt. He's been trying to play down Manchester United's chances.

There's no reason why any of the English teams can't win the Champions League this season though.

  2. Work to do in Romepublished at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Roma v Shakhtar Donetsk (19:45 GMT, aggregate 1-2)

Not since 2008 have Roma appeared in a Champions League quarter-final, and they have plenty of work to do if they are to reach the last eight 10 years on.

They trail Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 on aggregate after their Ukrainian opponents came from behind in February's first leg, with Brazilian midfielder Fred curling in a sublime free-kick to seal the win for the hosts.

  3. 'It is a game of huge pressures'published at 19:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd v Sevilla (19:45 GMT, agg 0-0)

Jose Mourinho speaking to BT Sport: "If we don't go through we watch the quarter-final on TV. It's simple.

"We have different options and we believe Marouane Fellaini's qualities make us stronger to start the game with.

"I am sure Sevilla will be alive and in the tie until the end. It is a game of huge pressures for both teams.

"The home advantage they used very well in Seville and hopefully our people will give us a little bit of a push."

    • 70% of away sides who draw the first leg of a Champions League knockout tie 0-0 end up progressing to the next round (21/30).
    • United have only lost one of their past nine home Champions League games against Spanish sides (W5 D3 L1)
    • Jose Mourinho has only lost seven of his previous 69 Champions League home games as manager (W48 D14), though five of those were against Spanish opposition.
  5. 'Fans would be disgusted with display'published at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd v Sevilla (19:45 GMT, agg 0-0)

There were some very strong words from former Arsenal striker Ian Wright following that Manchester United performance in Seville.

    He wasn't impressed.

Wright said he was “baffled” as to why Jose Mourinho’s side played in a “sterile way”, and admits if he was a Manchester United supporter, he would be disgusted with their display.

You can listen to that in full here.

Sunshine and blue skies made for a pleasant spring afternoon in Manchester earlier, but it has turned into a chilly old evening at Old Trafford.

Whatever the weather, United’s record here has been pretty good all season - they have had 20 home games in all competitions and they have won 17 of them, scoring 46 goals and conceding 10.

Their only defeat came against Premier League leaders Manchester City but a score draw - which would eliminate Jose Mourinho's side - would be just as painful a result tonight.

Ricky Lee Everett: The fear tonight is a nervy lacklustre 0-0 at half time and then holding a slender 1-0 lead going into the dying mins at Old Trafford, fearing that one moment to ruin our hopes.

Man Utd v Sevilla (19:45 GMT, agg 0-0)

Almost a year ago today, Leicester overturned a first-leg deficit to beat Sevilla and reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Keeper Kasper Schmeichel - son of Man United legend Peter - saved a penalty from Steven N'Zonzi that could have taken the tie into extra time.

Sevilla haven't had much luck in England but after drawing with Liverpool at Anfield earlier this season, could this be the night they finally go home with a victory?

Sevilla coach Vincenzo Montella following the 0-0 draw in the first leg: "I am very happy with the character shown by the team.

"We have to be pleased with the performance. The 0-0 leaves everything open."

The best way to describe that result from the first leg would be dangerous. In the first leg David de Gea proved again his worth to the club, he's one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The way I see United playing tonight is as they do in all the big domestic and european games -with a lot of caution. Jose Mourinho will hope that Romelu Lukaku, who was a real presence against Liverpool, and Marcus Rashford will prove a thorn in Sevilla's side.

  12. All to play forpublished at 18:43 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd v Sevilla (19:45 GMT, agg 0-0)

    So here we are.

It's the second leg of the last-16 tie between Manchester United and Sevilla at Old Trafford with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.

The first leg in Seville finished 0-0, thanks largely to a superb first-half save from United's David de Gea.

The keeper had kept out efforts from Joaquin Correa and Steven N'Zonzi before showing quick reflexes to produce a one-handed save on the stroke of half-time and deny Luis Muriel's header.

Sevilla finished the game with 25 attempts on goal and were left frustrated at the final whistle.

Manchester United held on and that could prove vital going into tonight's game.

  16. Is Pogba fully fit?published at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd v Sevilla (19:45 GMT, agg 0-0)

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said in his press conference this week that he didn't know whether Paul Pogba would be able to return for tonight's game.

He was back in training on Monday after missing Saturday's 2-1 Premier League victory over Liverpool and he's been named as a substitute.

But just how fit is he?
