  1. 'First sign of some good football'published at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla (agg 0-0)

    Ally McCoist
Former Scotland striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It was the first sign of some really good football. Marouane Fellaini with a good strike but it was always going to be a comfortable save for Sergio Rico.

  2. CLOSE!published at 38 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Sevilla fell asleep! Marouane Fellaini plays a nice one-two with Alexis Sanchez and has space in the box to shoot.

His effort is a good one but it's well saved by Sergio Rico.

  3. 'Old Trafford very quiet'published at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla (agg 0-0)

    Alan Green
BBC Radio 5 live at Old Trafford

Aside from the Sevilla supporters Old Trafford is very, very quiet. It tells you how the game is going.

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

It's been very much "safety first" from Manchester United. They look hesitant to push forward.

But as I write that, Ashley Young decides he wants to give it a go and beats two midfielders before he's tackled.

  5. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Ever Banega is given far too much time on the edge of the area so he stops, has a look and then attempts a shot at goal from distance.

    It's never going in though.

  6. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Luis Muriel is one-on-one with Chris Smalling in the box and he steps inside, onto his right foot, but barely gets any power on the strike and it's a disappointing effort.

    Another chance wasted by Sevilla.

  7. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Manchester United's heat map doesn't make for good viewing. Sevilla have enjoyed a fair bit of possession in their half.

Adam: How can Jose Mourinho get it so right one day, then so so so wrong the next? Genuinely baffled by his selection and tactics tonight.

Tom: When Man United need to attack, they score. Chelsea. Crystal Palace. So why do we spend the intervening time acting like were already 4-0 up? It's so frustrating to watch.

  9. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Marcus Rashford is the only United player exciting the crowd at the moment. Every time he receives it, he drives at the full-back and looks to make something happen.

Some quick feet and a bit of pace sees him beat two players before he's tackled and earns a throw-in.

  10. What's Mourinho hiding?published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2018

Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla (agg: 0-0)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Jose Mourinho appears quite calm in the technical area.

He is watching on, with his hands in his pockets, not really doing much.

I wonder what he is really thinking because this game is not going as the majority of home fans expected it to.

Rich: Sevilla are letting Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly have the ball, as they know neither of them can pass!

Seth: This is why Jose Mourinho will never be seen in the same light as Sir Alex or Guardiola no matter what he achieved. He's too negative! I wonder what he teaches the players apart from defending and long balls. We can't boss a game against Sevilla at home? Incredible!

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

Marcus Rashford tries to find Romelu Lukaku with a lofted ball through the middle and into the box but it just eludes the Belgian.

    That was inches away...

  13. CLOSE!published at 28 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

A nice flick from Franco Vazquez in the middle of the park starts a smooth move for Sevilla which ends with a low strike across goal from Luis Muriel.

It's off target and doesn't trouble David de Gea but it wasn't too far away. The Spaniards are getting closer.

David: Man Utd losing control in midfield. Marcus Rashford should be on the left side....a little concerned here.

Anon: When you have Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay, why would you unbalance your team playing Marouane Fellaini? Will never understand Jose’s coaching!

Gavin: Is Jose Mourinho expecting the ball to magically appear at the feet of his front men!?! Neither Nemanja Matic or Fellaini can pass water. Get Juan Mata on to run the game

  15. Goalless in Romepublished at 27 mins

Roma 0-0 Shakhtar Donetsk (agg 1-2)

There's yet to be a Champions League goal tonight with it still goalless over in Rome.

Roma started with great attacking intent but their Ukrainian opponents have quickly settled, and Shakhtar could have gone ahead when the hosts' Alessandro Florenzi almost headed the ball into his own net from an inswinging free-kick.

Roma are starting to find their rhythm however, and have just gone close with Andriy Pyatov palming the ball away from Edin Dzeko's toe just as he was about to pounce.

The corner delivery causes no problems for Sevilla and Chris Smalling is eventually penalised for being offside.

  17. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla

A long ball in from Alexis Sanchez is looking for the head of Marcus Rashford. It doesn't quite find it's target but United have a corner.

Man Utd 0-0 Sevilla (agg 0-0)

Manchester United came out of the traps well but since then Sevilla have dominated in the middle of the park.
