That's the most disappointing performance I've seen from an English team in Europe for many years.

If Manchester United had shown the urgency they'd shown in the second half against Crystal Palace the United fans would've settled for that.

I didn't know what United's game plan was tonight because they didn't show any urgency or press Sevilla until they went one or two goals down.

Yas: Jose Mourinho should be tried in a criminal court for his tactics. He has the players to clean the floor with this Seville side but decided to play negative.

Jaime: Frank De Boer would of won that game.

We're having a bit of a debate in the office here.

This is the first time Sevilla have ever beaten an English side on home soil and it is the first time they have ever reached the quarter-final stage.

But in 2015/16, they beat Liverpool to pick up their third successive Europa League title.

Is tonight's victory over Manchester United one of the biggest matches in their history? It is the Champions League after all...

The Sevilla players have been over to celebrate with their extremely noisy fans and are now back in their dressing room... the party is still going on in that corner of Old Trafford though - the 2,500km journey from Andalucia was well worth it for the travelling supporters by the looks (and sounds) of things.

I'm not sure about Paul Pogba. If that's me coming off the bench I'm going to try and show how I can win the game. He looked lethargic when he came on and was poor tonight.

On tonight's performance I think you would struggle to find a more overrated player. I would question his attitude to go and make an impact in a Manchester United jersey.

What a substitution from Vincenzo Montella to bring on Wassim Ben Yedder in the 72nd minute.

The striker completely changed the game and his two goals have given them a crucial victory here at Old Trafford.

Matt: Jose Mourinho's tactics and selection tonight are beyond belief after such a great performance at the weekend. As a fan it's infuriating, United have handed this game over.

Craig: All the talk of having potentially five English teams in the last 8 and now it looks like it will be two. Is that good enough?

There is no doubt that the better team have gone through tonight. Sevilla played very well and in Steven N'Zonzi they had the best player on the park by some distance.

When they brought Wissam Ben Yedder on they had a real threat. He scored two. Manchester United have been poor. They started well but then weren't in it and they have been well beaten.

Roma are through to the quarter-finals after a narrow 1-0 victory over 10-man Shakhtar Donetsk.

It is that crucial away goal which gives them the advantage in a 2-2 aggregate result.

It is the first time Sevilla win a match on English soil and it's a huge victory for them.

That's it. Manchester United are out of the Champions League.

It is Sevilla who progress through to the quarter-finals after substitute Wassim Ben Yedder scored two goals late in the second-half.

Manchester United know they are a beaten side.

Marcus Rashford gives away a sloppy free-kick and receives a yellow card for breaking down an attack.

Sergio Escudero used his experience there and it will run the clock down even more.

I can't believe Wissam Ben Yedder missed that. I've got to say that was good goalkeeping from David de Gea, he stood up.

The striker should do better he doesn't get a clear strike at it.

Oh it should be three for Sevilla! Wassim Ben Yedder is through on goal and he has so much time one-on-one with David de Gea that he panics and hits it straight into the keeper.

He should have grabbed his hat-trick.

Adam: As a Liverpool fan I can’t help but be puzzled at how Man Utd got it perfect at the weekend and so badly tonight. Surely they’d rather have the results the other way around! Amazed Sevilla didn’t start with Ben Yedder, we know him all too well.

F. Adams: It’s a little to late to play defensively for 70 mins, then expect two substitutions to make a difference and get 3 goals.
