  3. 'Still a team of internationals'published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Rochdale v Tottenham (16:00 GMT)

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC MOTD: "11 changes but I think all nearly the players start in the Premier League and Champions League.

"I think the starting line-up are all internationals with experience. All like Son Heung Min started in the Premier League or Champions League. It's not about the names, it's about being focused. We are focused and ready to compete.

"I think we saw with Newport we need to be motivated and focused. For us it's important to be focused. We are aware what will happen if we do not focus. If we want to win trophies, today is a massive chance to show we are in a way to win. It's true it will be difficult but need to show our quality and our ideas."

Lucas Moura is a terrific signing. The fans will be looking forward to seeing a first 90 minutes from him.

Moura is obviously best suited to the wide areas but there is competition for places. He is an indication of Spurs’ squad depth.

What were you doing when you were 16? Or what are you doing if you are 16 now? (I was juggling A Level studies with clogging around the Doncaster and District Sunday Alliance League.)

Daniel Adshead puts me - and perhaps you - to shame. Because today the teenage Rochdale midfielder could be about to face the mighty Tottenham in the FA Cup.

"When we travelled down to Millwall in the last round, he was doing his homework on the team coach," says Rochdale boss Keith Hill.

Adshead is likely to be a substitute at Spotland - where he's so young he isn't allowed to change with his team-mates - then he'll back in the classroom in the morning among his teenage pals.

  8. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Rochdale v Tottenham (16:00 GMT)

I've just spotted Rochdale boss Keith Hill, looking every inch the Lancastrian dairy farmer with his flat cap and padded jacket, having a chinwag with Spurs counterpart Mauricio Pochettino in the narrow Spotland tunnel.

What are they talking about? My guess is the pitch. Or what post-match pie Hill has got for them in his office.

  9. Where's the Rochdale team?published at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

Has Keith Hill forgotten to hand in his team-sheet? A few mind games perhaps? No sign of the home XI yet...

  12. 'Football will win with this pitch'published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Rochdale v Tottenham (16:00 GMT)

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, speaking to BBC MOTD: "I think the pitch is fantastic, we should congratulate everyone involved in this hard job to improve the pitch. They are happy and we are happy to have a pitch to play football.

"We are all happy. I need to recognise the people to improve it and they have done a fantastic job. Football this afternoon will win."

  13. Pitch problemspublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2018

    Rochdale v Tottenham (16:00 GMT)

As my colleague Chris Bevan told us earlier, Rochdale have relaid their much-criticised pitch ahead of this FA Cup fifth-round tie.

The League One side beat Millwall on a muddy, heavily sanded surface to set up an enticing tie with the Premier League team on Sunday, 18 February.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino had said the pitch at the Crown Oil Arena was"a massive risk to players"and "not in a condition to play football".

So is happier now? Let's find out...

Tottenham's first ever visit to Rochdale for an FA Cup tie has created a bit of a stir.

Lots of early arrivals to greet the visiting coach and even in the bar, every vantage point was taken to get a glimpse of Mauricio Pochettino and his players.
