Robin: Truly disgusting behaviour from both sets of players surrounding the referee. Whether the decision is wrong or right it's just not needed in the game.

Sam: Imagine what Guardiola would be saying if someone had made that tackle Delph did against City...

Matt: Not a red for me. Guardiola flipping out! Rightly so. Harsh. Inconsistency from refs in England is laughable!

Luke: If that’s a red then tackling in football is a myth. Madness

Ollie: That is a red every single time. Its a leg breaker. High, flying in, shin height. It's just lucky it didn't make full contact.

Chris: If you can’t make tackles like that, then the game has gone, pathetic decision

Adam: Definitely a red, off the ground with his studs showing at full speed. Don’t care if it’s one foot or two, if he makes a clean connection with Power’s leg then it would be in two pieces

It's going to be interesting to hear Pep Guardiola's thoughts after the game.

As it is, Wigan deseve credit for a strong first-half display.

Josh: Well that's thrown a bit of a spanner in the works..

Dipesh: It's like déjà vu.... Wigan just need to score and it will be Groundhog Day in Wigan

Ben: If he had the yellow card in his hand, then changed his mind to red, then it was a good change. Delph jumped in. Dangerous.

You can understand why the referee gave the red card but the ball was bouncing so you can see why Delph's foot was high.

    Wigan 0-0 Man City

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder on BBC One

That’s a strange one. The referee definitely had the yellow out. I'm not sure it was a red anyway. Really don’t that think the tackle was that strong. I feel he won enough of the ball, it wasn’t two-footed.

What a talking point on the stroke of half time.

Wigan really starting to lose their foothold. I've said it before, attack this Man City team - they aren't invincible. Was David afraid to hit back at Goliath?

Adam: Thoroughly enjoyed this contest. Wouldn’t mind a Wigan win here tonight (amongst many others I imagine)

Joseph: I genuinely feel that Wigan will surprise Manchester City and win at least 1-0 by the end of the night!
