I wouldn't say it's cold in Scotland but...

Greenock Morton's chief executive has called for all four Scottish Cup quarter-finals to be postponed because of the weather.

The Scottish FA say "there are no plans to call off" Celtic v Morton and Aberdeen v Kilmarnock on Saturday or either of Sunday's ties.

All weekend Scottish Professional Football League matches have been postponed.

"I just look at the blanket weather we have had," said Morton's Warren Hawke.

    Burnley v Everton (12:30 GMT)

    Burnley

It's going to take more than a few snowflakes [insert your own gag here about Everton's flaky away form under Sam Allardyce] for a match to be called off at Burnley.

They're used to harsh weather in these parts and a week of snow, sleet, driving rain and plummeting temperatures will not stop this game from going ahead at Turf Moor.

While Britain shivered as Storm Emma let rip, the Clarets issued a statement which said: "The weather conditions in Burnley have been extremely challenging in the past 72 hours.

"However, in anticipation of the weekend Premier League game against Everton, the club’s contingency plan has been in operation since Monday, to clear snow both inside and within the surrounding footprint of the stadium.

"The club has been liaising with local authorities and league officials and every effort is being made to ensure the match goes ahead as planned."
