  1. CLOSE!published at 19 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

That's a crucial touch! Johann Berg Gudmundsson puts over a devil of a cross/shot from the left and Jordan Pickford snakes out a hand to touch it away from both the net and Ashley Barnes.

    Gudmundsson looks lively.

  2. 'Intelligent play' from Calvert-Lewinpublished at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

I like the way Calvert-Lewin receives the ball. He has that little look over the shoulder so he knows what to do with it.

Really intelligent play from him so far.

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

Aaron Lennon's career in microcosm. He beats his man on the edge of the area, finds a yard of space and then hits in a cross which is behind the striker and half cleared. It's still a decent opening but Jack Cork can't keep his shot down and it's over the top.

  4. 'Unbelievable feet'published at 12:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

That is such a good chance for Everton. Sigurdsson had about four players around him. He showed unbelievable feet to get to byline before cutting it back.

Walcott has come in from the wing so is on his weaker foot, he should have left it for Davies there.

Cenk Tosun has been as involved as Ashley Barnes so far in the tale of two targetmen. And there's the first chance!

Gylfi Sigurdsson gets the ball from a throw, beats his man to get into the area and then cuts the ball back. It's running nicely into the path of Tom Davies but Theo Walcott takes it off him and shoots wildly over with his left foot!

    That was a golden opportunity.

  7. 'Bread and butter of a centre forward'published at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 March 2018

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I like the look of Tosun up front. He looks reliable, strong, fit, and he looks like he always wants to be on the ball. That's the bread and butter of a centre forward.

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

    Dion Dublin

Everton played some really good stuff in that passage of play. Cenk Tosun was nice and strong up front. Forwards should always try to hold the ball up and bring their team-mates into play.

Great ball in! Fine cross from Matt Lowton on the run, right in the danger area but Ashley Williams does really well to head it clear from Ashley Barnes.

    Good stuff from the hosts.

That's not bad play at all from Burnley. Tarkowski has got to be careful, he can't take too many touches at centre-half when he's got some young whippersnappers at his heels!

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

Nice play from Burnley as Aaron Lennon links up well with Ashley Barnes, the move ends with a shot from Johann Berg Gudmundsson deflected into the arms of Jordan Pickford. Decent tempo to the Clarets in these early stages.

  16. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

Will Jordan Pickford be in goal for England at the World Cup? Or maybe Tom Heaton? Or Nick Pope?

It's a space up for grabs. Pickford lands one of his prodigious goal-kicks into the opposition area but Burnley clear. Everton have started with Dominica Calvert Lewin on the left of a five-man midfield.
