    Sport Relief

And that leads me nicely into telling you all about Sport Relief (if you don't already know).

Robbie Savage and his celebrity pals are playing 12 straight hours of five-a-side football at MediaCity, while Shay Given faces 12 non-stop hours of penalties, all in the good name of charity.

Head over here for more details.

    Turkey 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Republic keeper Colin Doyle has had his palms warmed in the opening few minutes, pushing a long-distance shot away to safety.

No wonder he's got his chance tonight - Shay Given is busy saving penalties on the piazza outside our offices at MediaCity in Salford.

Well, I say saving... at least three of my colleagues buried penos past him.

Following a rather dull first-half, Brazil came out of the dressing room with all guns blazing and have scored three goals in 13 minutes at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The stadium will host seven matches at this summer's World Cup, including the final.

Inter Milan's Miranda got the first goal before Philippe Coutinho hit a sweet penalty after Barcelona team-mate Paulinho had been pulled down in the area. Paulinho then got on the scoresheet himself with an easy header.

Twenty minutes to go - how many more goals can we expect to see from the five-time World Cup winners?

    Turkey 0-0 Republic of Ireland

But the headline news sees the return of Seamus Coleman.

The Everton right-back returns to captain the side in his first international since his horrible double leg break against Wales a year ago.

Not seen much of the ball yet has Coleman. In fact, neither of any of his team-mates. Turkey doing the early running...

  5. Rice and Hogan handed Republic debutspublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2018

    Turkey 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill hands international debuts to West Ham defender Declan Rice and Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan.

In-form Preston striker Sean Maguire will make his first Irish start as he partners Hogan in attack while Bradford City keeper Colin Doyle ends almost an 11-year wait for a second cap after earning his debut against Ecuador in 2007.

Shane Duffy, James McClean and Jeff Hendrick are the only players to retain starting roles from the 5-1 World Cup play-off thumping by Denmark in November as Preston midfielder Alan Browne and Aston Villa's Conor Hourihane are both included.

Republic of Ireland: Doyle; Coleman (capt), Duffy, Rice, K Long; McClean, Hendrick, Browne, Hourihane; Hogan, Maguire,

Neither will the Republic of Ireland, nor will tonight's opponents Turkey.

So it means Martin O'Neill is using this opportunity to see how a few new faces cope with the demands of international football...

It's hot. It's humind. And it's under way in Antalya...
