It was the right ankle that Harry Kane injured last season - you can see that incident here - and it was his right ankle again today.

He was out for a month. And still scored 10 Premier League goals in his last eight games...

Having broken my ankle several times, seeing the Harry Kane photo, that's the way you want it to turn. It's the other way that is the big no no. He will be fit for Swansea

Is it terrible that as a Swansea fan my initial reaction to Kane's injury was delight..?

Suprs have big Fernando Llorente and rapid Lucas Moura still on the bench as they hunt for a winner in the second half. Bournemouth only had 32% of possession in the first half but they had eight shots and look a threat.

Bournemouth started well and deserved to take the lead. With the loss of Harry Kane, we thought Tottenham would be up against it. Then it was a simple finish from a fantastic cross by Aurier so I'd have to say it's a fair score at half-time. The question is whether Bournemouth can maintain it because they can't press for 90 minutes. They've got to pick their moments to put the pressure on.

    Watford

Watford boss Javi Gracia, speaking to BBC Sport: "We had different moments. We started conceding an early goal and then there were different moments with both teams creating chances to score.

"We tried to be very concetrated and focused on the match. It was this way, we tried to do as better as possible.

"We knew the importance of three points like the importance of the next match. We are only considering this way."

Decent game overshadowed somewhat by that injury to Harry Kane. Let's hope it's nothing too serious.

Adam Smith's Tottenham career amounted to one League Cup start and one 24-minute sub appearance on the final day of the 2011-12 Premier League season, but his energy and drive have typified Bournemouth's approach today.

Nominally playing on the right of midfield in a 4-4-2, he's drifted into the centre on occasions and been influential at both ends of the pitch.

Spurs fans may not be aware - after Smith scored against Newcastle a fortnight ago, he held up eight fingers to pay tribute to close friend and ex-Tottenham team-mate Ryan Mason (whose squad number was eight) following his enforced retirement from the game.

Regular Jon: Sterling, Lingard and Rashford should be the 3 behind Kane for England in the summer

John Dunthorne: Wonder if that is a Metatarsal injury for Kane? World Cup year wouldn’t be the same without one.

I'm no physio John, but it looks like ankle damage

Christian Eriksen does find space again to get a shot away but it's easy for Asmir Begovic on this occasion.

Eddie Howe should instruct one of his players to get on Eriksen, because he's such a pivotal player. If you can mark him out of the game, Tottenham are nowhere near as dangerous.

It doesn't do to speculate too much but I'd be amazed if Harry Kane is in the England squad on Thursday.

Still a pretty even and open game. Bournemouth sweep forwards and Adam Smith scuffs a shot wide from about 22 yards. It had Hugo Lloris worried.

Harry who? Dele Alli levels matters - and immediately turns cupping his ear to the home fans behind Begovic's goal in the Steve Fletcher Stand. They had been giving him some grief about his tendency to, ahem, give the law of gravity a helping hand when trying to win free-kicks.

Great to see Bournemouth fans behind the goal clapping Kane as he limped off. No vile abuse as seems common nowadays.

It's a brilliant ball by Aurier. It's in that zone between the defender and keeper, where neither knows which one should go for it. It's all about the ball in.

In your face, Ben in Cambridge!

No goal in 15 but Dele Alli has Spurs level, cupping his hands to his ears at the home fans in the process. It's all about the cross from Serge Aurier, a wonderful bending ball in from the right which Alli meets on the bounce and steers into the net.
